World of Color Superthread

I suspect that you can use Fantasmic viewing as a guide. Are there any there? I know there are ramped walkways from the photos.
I have no idea. :confused3 We were planning on getting the dessert package (DS has big probs with crowds).

I didn't see it, I spoke with a CM on the premium dining/ticketing line yesterday and she told me she thought it was going to be a dessert package similar to F!

Scoop me= 2, others= 0. :lmao: ;) Know I am totally teasing. :goodvibes
Well, 30 days before June 11 we should know more!

Hydroguy: you can also add to accommodate the early closings of paradise pier, the paradise pier area will open an hour before the park opening, hence a 9:00 opening for DCA.

Albort, do you know if the ShowPass distribution machines will start operating early, when Paradise Pier opens? 'Cause if not, you can count on the fact that people will line up for ShowPasses during that hour, meaning we'll have to stand in line an hour longer. Thanks.

Thanks for all the updates and info!
I have to call DH and give him all the news!
Looks Like I will be booking a June trip with premium seating.
I have a 5 yr old DD and a 1 1/2 DS and If we dont get SP's they will be pretty upset! hahaha!!!

Thanks again everyone!

ShowPass operation hasnt been attempted yet. the chances are that it will NOT be on. This is what i think, Paradise pier + Condor flats will open at 9. They can then block ppl from getting to the showpass distribution area. This may also affect EE DCA will be offering.

However, i think they put the showpass distribution at GRR for a reason. To allow ppl to get access to it early on. If my above statment is correct, they should have kept it at the other place aka bugs land fastpass.

Just got bumped via voice mail from our 7:40 PS at AG on 6/13. The CM said "our Princesses would not be available for dining at this time" and I was rescheduled for 2:40. I was given a CM's direct line to call back, spoke with him, and when asked why we were bumped and the Princesses would be unavailable I was told: that the World of Color show is interfering with dinner and the latest seating is 3:40 pm. I guess we won't be doing dinner there.

 :rotfl2:

::yes:: The CM that I spoke to a few days ago indicated that it would be a dessert package similar to the F! dessert package.

Here's hoping for GCV show passes. :wizard:

Well, if it is only a dessert package, I wonder why they are cutting off seating at Ariel's at 2:40? I am thinking maybe they are planning to have a dinner/showpass package, rather like Fantasmic at WDW???

Maybe. Good catch! :thumbsup2 Well, whatever it is I wish they'd announce it already. If dessert is $60 per adult, I can only imagine what dinner will cost. :scared1:

No kidding! I am already planning a Fantasmic Dessert package for this trip. But, since I want to see WOC, and we were going to eat at Ariel's anyway, maybe I can manage this without selling baby Dobie!!

When I mentioned a possible dessert package to DH and puffed up how great it would be to not have to wait in line blah, blah, blah he was fine til I mentioned the price. Tears of laughter ensued.

Oh, girlfriend, you mentioned the price?

:confused3

We will be there 6/9-6/14 at the grand as well. What are the prices for the dessert packages now. We did the Fantasmic 4 years ago and I can't remember. Please help!!:confused3

Do not think the price has changed. $59 I believe.

I think this dinner viewing will never happen. Don't make reservations thinking you can watch the show while you eat. So here's why.

First just on speculation on speculation. It's said that guest of the GCV will get the first 1000 showpasses. If so I'm guessing this is not a benefit to them rather so they aren't upset, spreading negatives words, that the show isn't good from thier balcony. It would be to get them into DCA to watch. But IMO I don't believe for a minute that they will be giving them 1000 SP, but that's another story.

The other reason why people won't be watching from AG is that the angle is horrific. It will be like watching a tv from two feet back and 5 feet from the edge. The picture quality in the spray screens will be poor. The show is designed to be viewed from PP and not the back or sides.

My guess from the information passed on from Disney is that AG may have moved all the reservations forward so it can seat, feed and clear out in time to darken the resturaunt before WoC starts.
