World of Color Superthread

Good Grief! I now have Ariel's & WCT @ 5pm on 7/3 + Ariels's @ 11:30am on 7/3 - ideally we'll do Ariel's @ 11:30am and WCT @ 5pm ~ but if Ariel's is the better option for WOC we'll do Ariel's @ 5pm and cancel the other 2 ~ probably going to Ariel's some other day *I've already purchased Character Meal vouchers for Ariel's ~ if the princesses were at dinner I'd use the vouchers some place else. If the menu is the same at Ariel's for WOC dinner *and we end up doing the WOC dinner @ Ariel's* and the princess lunch maybe we'll use the vouchers for breakfast at Ariel's.

My CM ~ *5 minutes ago, said both restaraunts will take walk ups, one restaraunt won't give you a better chance of getting a spot for WOC over the other!

Why did they allow WOC dining package bookings without knowing where they're gonna put the diners for the show, how many spots will be available?!?

I just posted this on the other thread, so thought I'd post it here too:

I called to see if I could move my reservation from WCT to AG because they won't be taking walk-ins. The CM told me that BOTH restaurants would be taking walk-ins if there was availability, so there was no real difference when it came to your chances of getting tickets. She told me I should choose the restaurant based on the menu I preferred.

I asked her about the tickets, and she said that she was told that tickets would not be guaranteed - we got talking and I told her I was a CM at WDW, and that I work as a server in a restaurant and have had to deal with packages like Candlelight Processional in the past, so I know it can be hectic. After that, she told me she, from what she had heard, there would be enough tickets for everyone who had the package, but they know so little about how many people the seating area would hold, right now they don't want to guarantee anything. So this sounds to me more like they're just trying to cover themselves, and there probably will be enough tickets to go around.

So here is a question for speculation. If I have a 7:40 pm dinner for the second show, what the heck do I go do after dinner, before the show? Will we be able to start lining up for the special seating during the first show? Someone mentioned some rides will be closed?

Thanks!

DCA will be open until 10PM. So you can go do some rides! It does appear that the rides around PP will be closed after 8PM except maybe TSMM.

The WOC showtimes are finally posted on the DL website!! They are listed as 9 and 10:15.

I had a ressie for Sunday, June 20th @ 7:20pm for AG/WOC dining package and just got a call that they pushed back my res. to 7:40pm...so just a heads up for anyone w/a similar ressie.

We have ressies at WCT for 6/20 at 6:30 pm but no call. I wonder if it is just the 7:20 time slot??

I booked a WCT dining package for July 7 5:20PM for us and another couple. No Guinea Pig here! :rolleyes1 We both also travel with scooters, so I want them to have the Handicapped accessiblity down pat before I try to watch it!

Any word at all on the handicap accessibility yet?

I'd like to know too. DS uses a wheelchair. We have pkg ressies for Ariel's Grotto, and I'm hoping there is a HA area with those tickets.

I just got off of the phone with Disney Dining and booked dinner at WCT for 7/15. I asked the CM about the first come-first served policy for WOC tickets and he said that the policy has been changed due to the high volume of complaints from guests. He was informed today that if you book the WOC dining package you are guaranteed WOC seating.

Woot! Just booked dinner at AG for June 18th, 7:40. :yay: Was going to go on the 16th or 17th, but DCA has Grad Nite, so no WOC showings I guess.
BTW, I love the hold music . Hehe I have Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah stuck in my head now

DCA doesnt do grad nite. BUT you never know. DCA does blast off, and there was one night when they did blast off at Tomorrowland.

I dont want to brag on when i get to see WoC. :P

Well, that is good news..and good logic too.
