World of Color Picnic Boxes

I called and asked and was told that it is standing only...no seats at all. We will pass; standing for that long with a 4 and 7-year-old isn't my idea of fun...plus once the show begins our kids won't be able to see.

This is what we're going to do. At least one night. One of the boxes has something my kid might eat...he's autistic...
I think this is a great option.

How do you think they will regulate the kids meals? I have some pretty strict dietary stuff, so out of all the meals (picnic and sit down) the only thing I could even attempt to eat would be the kids PB&J box. But it says it is only for ages 3-9. If we order online, there's no real way to verify age there. And if I send DH alone to go pick up the meals, they wouldn't know if he had a kid or not. Do you think I could go ahead and order that one, or would I get in trouble? Do you think they will need each individual person present to pick up their meal or will they let a representative for a group pick them all up? I know nothing is really known for sure yet, just wondering what your guys' opinions/best guess on this is.

I hate having to try to figure out food for myself in the parks, it's so hard. I also don't like the fact that, just because of my dietary restrictions, I could be kept from getting to see WoC. That doesn't seem fair.

I think you'll get the picnic meal and a ticket to get into the show area. That may be where you will run into the problem if the ticket says child on it. However in WDW at the Fantasmic dinner the tickets are all the same.

Since they are charging the same price for the kid's meal as the adult meal, I don't think it would make any difference at all... if the kid's meals were cheaper, then there might be an issue!

Glad I won't be there until January, will rely on all you people's recommendations then!

Boy am I glad our trip isn't until November......:confused3

I'm sure glad our trip isn't until the end of July. Let all the other folk figure out what is the best options before we get there. I like the sound of the picnic box and reserved seating.

Teehee, we're not going until next May, so there's plenty of time for them to change it half a dozen times.

For those of you going in the next few weeks, I wish :tinker: you patience, luck and stamina...may the force be with you! ;)

ugh make it stop! :crazy2: I wish they would get their ducks in a row already! ;)

Which part is not "in a row"?

There are the dining packages, the picnic box packages, the FPs, and walk-ups.

If you post a specific question, maybe others here can help.

There is a lot of unanswered questions and some folks would like more information in a non-disneyish timely manner. I still have questions about GCV ticketing if any.

There are lots of things WOC related that are not yet in a row. Not to mention a few conflicting things CM are saying regarding seating and meals. It's nice that we are getting some info now that it's getting closer, but I can understand peoples' frustration for not getting more solidified details.

in all honestly, all ticketed area i believe are pretty premium... so i think you will be mixed into whole FP system. why 4000 spots, well, they dont quite fill it to the max.
