World of Color Dining Packages Announced

I did not get a reservation #. The cast member told me my first and last name would serve as the reservation #.

I think the thing we all have to remember is that--even with all of the hype about WOC in the parks, I am sure that a huge number (even a majority) of people who will have NO clue about any of this.

I am constantly amazed at the number of people I talk to who have been to DL at least twice over the past few years and have never even heard of or seen Fantasmic. We get a very skewed view of park attendees by reading the message boards.

I have been to Disneyland about 12 times and never seen the Fantasmic show. I tried once but couldnt see anything through all the people and dont have the patience to wait for 5 hours to see it :)

ARGH!!!!! This is turning into quite the mess, I called first thing on Friday to book our World of Color Dining Package at WCT for 6/18 4:50. I thought I was home free when they called me yesterday to tell me me that they had overbooked the dining and they were moving me to 6pm! I was rather displeased with this and argued with the CM that I was concerned that bumping us down an hour would lessen our chance of getting a ticket for the early show and with a 2 1/2 yr old in our party the later show was not an option. She appologised but said there was nothing she could do BUT the advance reservations are now guaranteed to get a ticket. I asked her this twice and both times she confirmed that we would be guaranteed a ticket for the early WOC show. If this really is true I'm fine with the move. I really hope they have this worked out because if not they are going to have a ton of REALLY unhappy guests to deal with. pirate:Is anyone else being told that the tickets are now guaranteed?

Kevin, Mona, Chris, Sharon and Giada.

The CM we spoke to said yes, it we did the package, we were guaranteed a ticket. She couldn't believe how many inaccurate stories seem to be going around. Her point was that Disney is well aware that they would have a mess on their hands if they don't have tickets for everyone, so they are setting aside the max. number that each location can hold for diners each night.

She said the only thing she would suggest is that we eat inside, because of course if it rains, the diners outside would have to reschedule.

And no, they aren't giving out reservation numbers. They don't for anything else I reserve, either (like Minnie's, Big Thunder Ranch..). But, they do take your name, and since I called to move our time forward, I can tell you she had no problem finding my previous reservation.

I just called Disney Dining to change the times of my reservations and was told that yes, I am now guaranteed tickets to WOC with the WCT package. I don't think there were inaccurate stories, I think Disney changed their policy. Probably had enough people complaining (thanks to boards like this one) and wised up. Hooray- can't wait for our July trip!

I think you give them your name, but behind the scenes they have reservation and confirmation numbers. Vacation Planning sent me a pdf of my itinerary and it had a number on it for all of myreservations - ADR's, WOC at WCT, Fantasmic dessert seating, Pinocchio's Workshop - everything. But I guess they're just used internally.

I just got a call for Disney Dinning. They wanted to confirm my reservations were for WOC. They said now you are guaranteeing the tickets now and it is standing room only. They did ask me to change one of the times and I was happy too.

I made my reservations a couple of days ago. We are going in July.

I got this call too. They were calling to confirm whether it was for WOC or just regular dining. I called and they changed it to 4:10 (from 4:00 June 13). She said they didn't know yet if it was sitting or standing.

I just got this call as well. I was told they are now calling it premium standing. The CM told me the standing area is in the middle and it will hold about 500 people. He recommended getting there early so the kids would have a good view.

Does anyone know if there will be a section for ADA in WOC? Going to DL in July and would love to take my boy's to see WOC. But, would like to make sure my son will be able to see it from the viewing area.

I am trying to decide whether I should take the effort and call. Our trip is right around the corner so I would imagine that the dining is probably all sold out by now. Do you think Disney Dining is open on Sunday? :confused3

They are open I just talked to them. There wasn't much of a wait either, so it wouldn't hurt to call and check.

I got a call too, changed my 6:30 reservation to 6:20. I was under the impression when I made the reservation that this was for the second show, but he said no, the first seating for the second show is now 7:10.

He also told me that I definitely have guaranteed WOC tickets. They will not be allowing walk-up WOC dining packages unless they have openings, which he said they probably won't for the first few months.

I'm excited now, I didn't want to eat at 4 to guarantee tickets to the first show, so I chose the later show so we could eat a little later. Now I get first show and a later eating time!

Umm, but why not call? They don't require a deposit, so you have nothing to lose. :goodvibes

If you haven't gotten a call, you might consider calling them to double-check. I called asking about my World of Color dining and they said "Yes, you have a reservation for 4 PM, party of 3." Then when I asked to confirm that it was World of Color dining with "guaranteed" tickets she replied, "There's no mention of World of Color dining there..." :headache: And I talked to the nicest CM when I made my WoC reservation, too! :(

This CM moved us to 4:40 which is fine (if the tickets are guaranteed, then it's actually better than 4 PM, IMO).

That said, I'm still going to call them back Monday or Tuesday, to make sure again. :flower3:

DS made reservations for us but said he wasn't given a reservation number. Has anyone else gotten a reservation number?

And if you book Patio Seating for Ariels Grotto what happens if you get some rain?

AG has a covered patio so you will be ok.

For those who have received call moving their resy's, is it just WCT where the resy's are being moved? Also, AG is supposed to only be for WOC if I understand correctly, is that right?

This is what I thought too...can anyone confirm?
I booked at AG yesterday and have not received a call

With the info that tickets are now guaranteed, I just called to try and move our reservation to later in the afternoon so we can see the Pixar parade at 5:15 & she said in the last few hours it has been announced that now the Maximum party size at WCT for the WOC Dining is 8 people -- she said I would have received a call from them in the next day or two splitting up my party . So we split our party up between 2 reservations at 6:30 (8 & 2). We'll request when we check-in to try and get seated together (or near each other) but I'm not expecting that to happen -- but one can always dream

(She said we could keep our party of 10 BUT we wouldn't be able to do the WOC dinner -- makes no sense to me , but whatever).

Also I asked about being able to view the Parade from WCT & she said due to some food & wine festival there is no confirmation on if the parade is going to be going the full route (which would go past WCT) or just a half route (which wouldn't).

Oy Vey!
