We are planning our first trip to Disneyland!! We'll be celebrating our 6th anniversary and want to do something special one day so I was looking into the World Of Color dining package. What restaurant of the 3 (Ariel's Grotto, Wine Country Trattoria or Carthay Circle) has the best food and which one gives you the best location to watch the show? Thanks!!

The package gives you a voucher/pass to sit in the preferred seating area for WOC. We ate at Wine Country Trattoria and enjoyed our meal...this was before Carthay Circle opened. The preferred seating area is very nice with a great view of the show.

I have never ate at any but we also chose to do wine country...I have heard mixed reviews about AG and CS was a little to much for my taste

Carthay Circle Restaurant is probably the best food. We also liked AG. I would recommend AGAINST doing WOC dining for something special. It is unnecessary unless you already want to eat at one of these places.

All three dining locations give you access to the same viewing location. There are default locations for each but you do not and should not go to those places.

Read the WOC Superthread in my signature line below for comets info.

I've done the WOC package for Ariel's Grotto and Carthay. I enjoyed my meal at both but I enjoyed Carthay the best. Carthay has its own view area which is nice, Ariel's shares a viewing area with Wine Country. Its a great show, enjoy!

When we were there last Sept. we did the Wine Country for supper and we really enjoyed it (desert was awesome)

I just want to clarify that the viewing area is standing only, there are no seats.

I only suggest doing this if you really want to eat at one of those restaurants. If you don't, you should just pull the FP.
We have eaten at all three restaurants and my ranking is this:
1) Carthay Circle Theater
2) Ariel's Grotto
3) Wine Country

We did the WOC pkg at Ariel's and loved the food! It was the highlight of our trip and we are foodies. We loved the seafood cole slaw, the cheese and salads, and the ciopino. The drinks and dessert platter were also very memorable. Our server was super nice too. It was also quite kid friendly. Our spots in the preferred dining area could not have been better! Hopes this helps!
