World of color dessert party?!

Thank you so much to those who have provided reviews!! We have this booked for next month and I have been stalking this thread to see updates!

For those who have done it, is there a difference in view between the tall tables and the short tables? If you did it again would you try to request one or the other?

We attended the first party on Thursday and had a fantastic time. We were a party of 3 and sat at a high top table with director style chairs. Lower tables were placed in front of ours and did not obstruct our view. We had a an extra chair at our table. We were asked at check in if we preferred a low or high table and the tables were assigned. The images are of our plates and view. My son and I had the gluten free version and my wife had the regular version with cheese. We had champagne and the kids get a "made with magic" fountain cup. It's an immense cup that "glows with the show". Beware that it may not be the easiest to pack if you fly...
Having a seat for WOC was really worth it for us.

Yes, I'm curious about the gluten free option, also. DH and I are GF, and I'm considering doing this for our trip. Thanks so much for posting your experience and pictures!

you only get the one plate but it is quite filling especially if you have already had dinner. the desserts and cheese are rich. I haven't figured out how to post pictures yet but when I do I have a few. There are pictures on yelp

You can see from both but I prefer the tall table with the directors chairs

That looks like a lot of food/dessert. I might have to rethink my plan. I was going to do this on the same night I did Carthay Circle but a big dinner plus this (only a few hours later) might be too much.

Thanks everyone for the great reviews and pictures! I went ahead and booked for Monday. Excited to get to SIT in a chair and watch the show while sipping bubbles!! :)

So I went ahead and change my dinner plans at Carthay Circle, moved it to mid-day 3pm. But unfortunately that also meant I had to cancel my plan for Cafe Orleans, oh well something to look forward to next time, I guess.

How is the view from the chairs? It's hard to tell from peoples pictures if you can still see the whole show, or if you're blocked by the people standing in front.

Thanks for the reviews and photos, I'm so excited for this!! Definitely on my to do list for our trip in August!!

Booked for May!! Can't wait!! :yay:
However, I am also wondering if any of the view is blocked??

The Fantasmic dessert tray had enough to eat for several days. This is a lot of food too!
Did they offer togo boxes?

It's hard to really see from the pictures

Yes they did!

It's the same view as if you were standing. The high chairs put you at the same eye level as if you were standing so the people down below aren't really blocking. Plus the show is so big and high..I didn't have any issues.

Thank you so much for this review! We are considering this instead of one of the WOC dinner packages. We only have 1 day at DCA and I think we may just do quick service (possibly Cove Bar for lunch). I generally don't think dessert parties are of a good value (for us) but I think this may be worth the splurge.. WOC is one of the things on my 'must do' list.

Such great information trickling in so far, thank you all for sharing.

I'm still hoping for some information on the following:
  • what do they serve for nut allergies
  • do they offer milk as an option for kiddos
  • how they might seat a family of 5, would they split us up or maybe squish us in at one table
  • any reviews/thoughts from kiddos on how they liked it and how well they could see
  • and my older two are Disney adults at ages 10 & 13 and they are wondering if they would also get the glow with the show cup if they still offer them when we go in April
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help provide information. We've booked the experience regardless because it's the only way my kids agreed to see WOC on this trip. They hated the waiting, standing and being squeezed out of their spots by rude adults on our last trip. There were tears and everything. I will pass along any tips or information from experience when we return.
