Title says it all. Sunday afternoon when we arrived it was particularly "bad." Yesterday and today there have been at least 3-4 sitting in the median with blue lights on every time we've been through there. I know speeding has always been a problem in that area especially and a lot of them tend to be congregated up towards the gates where it transitions down to 35.

Even up towards BL and TC it's bad. Just MUCH more or an apparent presence than is usually at Disney. It's almost like they are making a statement to DISNEY that they can patrol these roads whether they want them here or not.

One day, maybe, but every hour for the past 3 days?

Anybody know what's going on?

What is "bad" about having the speed limit enforced?

In the past I have seen police stage several patrol cars in preperation of closing access to parks when they reach capacity. This happened last year around Easter the roads leading to MK were shut due to overcrowding people were directed to other parks.

I have never heard that Disney does not want police patroling thier roads. The police can patrol and enforce laws on all public roads in WDW and in fact the departments in the area are paid for providing off duty police officers with marked cars to patrol the area by Disney. .This is in addition to the normal police coverage.

My advice is drive safely obey the speed limits and thank the officers for protecting us from those who disreard the law.

Spring Break, lots of people and that usually means some bad driving moves, better to have people there to respond quickly and keep everyone safe.

it's a little like disney fencing off the resort pools: if people are selfish and will not police their own behavior, then changes will be made to enforce the rules.

The resort pools being fenced is because someone drowned. Not because they shouldn't have been in the location. I'm sure most of the troopers would understand that you may not be familiar with laws and probably cut anyone some slack. More so for a tourist than a local. That's how most of us in any agency "generally" act.

Presence alone is enough to deter and or slow down.

Bad as in a LOT of them. More than usual. Not bad as in law enforcement is a bad thing. Context is everything.

Regardless what you may think, Disney has always been all about trying to keep county law enforcement on the down low at WDW, hence; the question.

Around a holiday, since 9-11 you get more police presence than before. You will probably see more county cars up near the main gates.
