World Cup in the parks?

Any recent reports of places to watch the World Cup in the parks? Epcot showed matches in The Odyssey in 2014 but I don't think they are this time around. I know there is ESPN on the boardwalk and various resort bars, just hoping to find a place in each park to watch.

The announcement that The Odyssey,WoL Pavilion and Restaurantosaurus would be hosting Watch Parties was not made until July 7 in 2014 just before the Semifinals.

Might have a problem since Fox has the US broadcast rights not ABC/ESPN. Doubt Disney will want to promote the competition

Rainforest Cafe at front of AK might have the games on in the bar area since it’s not Disney owned. The Disney hotels do have the local fox station. You could also watch via Fox Sports app on phone

I would be shocked and not pleased to find "the outside world" on TV in a Disney Park. A resort bar, sure, but not inside a park.

Rainforest Cafe at front of AK might have the games on in the bar area since it’s not Disney owned. The Disney hotels do have the local fox station. You could also watch via Fox Sports app on phone

Rainforest will have the Finals on as will ESPN Club,Splitsville and every other Bar,Pool Bar,Food Court,etc. at WDW.

Also,I think the "HUGENESS" of the World Cup and the "tie-in" with World Showcase(WC has 25% of the "Sweet Sixteen") and the "tie-in" with The 15s(The 15s have 25% of the "Sweet Sixteen) will "override" the fact it is not on ABC/ESPN and Disney will again show the Semis and Finals in The Odyssey.

Time will tell.

I know it is a little "apples and oranges",but Disney isn't going to "ban" the World Cup from its Bars,Pool Bars,Food Courts,etc. because it is on FOX,so I don't see them "banning" it from Epcot if they want to repeat what they did in 2014.

Setting up a viewing party at Epcot to watch a non Disney broadcast is different than bars tuning in.

I live in Atlanta and our MLS game is after WC final so they are opening up Mercedes Benz early for a watch party before the Atlanta United match.

Touring Plans only lists Rainforest Cafe and some of the lounges in the resorts and a few places in DS as places to watch the World Cup.

IF Disney does do the Viewing Parties again,I recommend Restaurantosaurus.

In 2014,we watched the Semis at Restaurantosaurus and the Finals at The Odyssey and SURPRISINGLY enjoyed the atmosphere at Restaurantosaurus better than that at The Odyssey!
