especially Bras...

I have ones with NO support and need to get some new ones... I am not lacking in the bra area:lmao: so I need GOOD SUPPORT, any suggestions?

i like to buy workout wear at Target...but i haven't bought sports bras there. I did however just buy a Danskin sports bra at Wal-mart and they had different 'rated' bras for amount of support. otherwise, try a sport goods store like Dicks? or a running store maybe. i think you'll pay big bucks for a high-end sports bra, like $40 or so

I got mine from Fleet Feet. They helped fit me and find the right one for me. It did cost an arm and 2 legs, but definately worth it!

I am a 40 - DD and the only way I could handle any jogging or bouncing exercise would be to layer a snug elastic jogging bra over my regular Victoria Secret underwire. It wasn't perfect, but it helped. If you are not that large, you may have luck just layering two jogging bras. I just found it easier not to bounce or run!! :rotfl2: I keep most of my exercise in the "non-jiggle" category! HTH.......................P

I'm a big fan of the "Moving Comfort Fiona". It IS pricey, but it is sooo worth it. I no longer have to worry about it anymore! The previous poster is right...if you go to Fleet Feet, they will fit you and find the "right" sports bra for you. I'm biased, of course, because I work there, but I've learned that 90% of the support is in the band, the other 10% in the straps-the cheaper brands do not provide that kind of support. I'm definitley picky about where I spend my money(I'm a college student as well), but I will never go back to the cheaper brands again...

Always try to stay away from any type of workout gear that is cotton, as well(this goes for bras, shorts, shirts, socks, etc)

I went to Dicks one day and just tried on 30 bras and jumped in the dressing room until I found one I liked. I believe it is Danskin (sp) but I am not entirely sure. I am a 36 DD by the way and give my genetics that is not because I am a larger girl. Thank you Nana for giving me the Dolly Parton gene! She was 4'10', skinny and a DD. Talk about tipping over!:lmao:

Anyway, I suggest you go to your local sports store and try on as many bras you can find. They will not be cheap, but one will work for you!

I've had problems in that area and Wal Mart/Target and local sports shops DO NOT WORK for me. I do a lot of high-impact workouts and love my Enell bra. Recommended by Oprah, and who doesn't trust her? They're expensive, but when you're 38 D, it's worth it to not hurt 1/3 of the way into a workout. Title Nine carries a knock-off "Last Resort Bra" that I'm interested in (same build as the Enell, but $20 less), so that'll probably be my next purchase. Good luck. I hate shopping for workout bras because I'm always disappointed.

It truly is a major issue as I am doing a w/o I need the girls to remain in place or it begins to be a bit painful.

I have an Enell too. I like that one. I also have used Moving Comfort. I'm trying out a couple of new Champion ones. I'm recouperating at home and found they had a show on Tyra Banks yesterday where they were doing an entire show about wearing the correct bra.

Anyway, there was a Champion bra there that was recommended as good support for the girls in need. I want to try that. It is adjustable from the front straps which is a good sell for me. (not front closure though as Enell) This particular brand is a new one -- Champion® Powersleek™ Sports Bra.

I'm not sure when I will be getting it, but I will get it. I just WISH they had the full impact ones in more "girlie" colors.

Finding the right bra is a challenge! I've had problems with the straps, chafing, not enough support....but I've found the Champion C4 seamless bras at Target (excellent price) and they seem to work for me. Great wicking material, no chafing from the straps or seams.

They are hard to find in the stores, as one week I bought one to try it out, went back the next week to get another one and they were sold out. I went online to purchase a couple and they were back ordered. As far as delivery, I got one bra within a month the other never came.

ME too! I got my Moving Comfort from Fleet Feet and they also have it Dick's Sporting Goods. It's also available from runningwarehouse.com and don't forget...We get a discount there too! yay! It's so hard to find these things to fit!!!

Another vote for the Fiona. :thumbsup2 A good sportsbra is at least as important to me as good shoes. I have a pink one and a light blue one, but I wish, like you, Lily, that the SERIOUS bras were as cute as the smaller ones in the fashion part of the running store. I have thought about getting an enell as well, but have been pretty happy with the Fionas, overall. I have even stopped layering a second bra underneath (that is the only purpose I could think of for those stretchy one-piece Champion bras at Target.)

Does anyone else just WINCE watching the Biggest Loser and wonder why on earth someone doesn't get the women something with some more support, especially early on? It literally makes me cringe to think about how uncomfortable that is.

The Enell bra carried by Title Nine is not a knockoff, their bra known as the Last Resort Bra is $60 or you can purchase it from enell's website for a "close out" price of $50...I guess they've got a sale going on.
Either way you should definitley get a good supportive bra, Wal Mart and Target just will not cut it and it's worth the investment! :goodvibes

I'm an Enell girl. I'm a 40-G and those things hold the girls in and I don't have any issue with them at all. It's the first sports bra I've found that can keep things from bouncing.

I've gotten a couple on that auction site that shant be named that are factory seconds for about $25-$30 and I haven't had any trouble with them at all. Highly recommend them.

Also, check your yellow pages from an honest to goodness "bra store" because I get my regular bras at one of those and they have all sort of bras that fit wonderfully, in fact, I'm waiting for my size to come in in a different style of workout bra.

It's definitely worth the investment. Good bras are worth their weight in gold.

I am wondering if anyone has tried any of the suggestions offered here and want to know what you think.

If you have not what is your best fit ideas for exercising?

Well, I tried the Enell on this weekend at the Expo, because even though I am generally happy with the Fiona, the place where the straps adjust and attach with velcro still kind of irritates me and I thought the Enell might be better. Different strokes for different folks - I felt like the band was too tight, and it's not adjustable - bigger band would have been too much space in the cups, so I guess it's just not the bra for me.
