Happy Weigh-In Day Ladies!!!
I am reporting in at my highest points yet, 49!!!!
I am weighing in at 144 which is down 1.0 pounds from last week, but still up 1.5 from 2 weeks ago. So, I'm not sure how that is counted.
Beth: I agree that you need a rest. Are you in taper yet? Your race is pretty soon, so I would imagine. You have trained hard, now take it easy and get the body healed up and good for that 26.2! I agree that running in the heat is really hard. And hills stink!
Thanks for the advice on the Migranal. My 10 year old son gets horrible migraines and vomits as soon as I give him anything, which of course hurts so bad he starts bawling, which hurts even worse!
Jackie: So, does the broken mower mean you get to hire someone to do it for you?
Just kidding. Actually I enjoy mowing. I asked hubby if we could switch jobs because I hated paying the bills. It helps that our new yard is tiny and takes me 45 minutes with my little electric mower!
Great job on your run, but I'm sorry about the eating yesterday. I was right there with you. I think I was trying to sabotage my weigh in!
Vicky: I wish I could do better with makeup. I watch shows all the time on how to create that smoky eye, but my face just doesn't look good with a lot of makeup. So, I stick to my old routine. I have never tried false lashes because they look so hard. I also have low maintenance hair, because I'm not good at getting it to do anything. Of course, the clothes are a different matter entirely. I love them and LOVE to dress up. I would wear heels all the time if my calves didn't suffer for it.
Great job on the deadlift. You are SCARY!
I understand your frustration with wo partner. The girls I walk with in the morning are always complaining about their weight and how bad their legs hurt. They never stretch, they never eat right and they never do anything the rest of the day except that 3 mile walk. What do they expect? I'm done giving advice because they just don't listen.
Manda: You did a great job at the party. That's exactly how you needed to look at things. It's not dieting, so what kind of decent choices can I make without totally depriving myself?
AFM: Well, I ate horribly last night. I knew I had to weigh in and just did it anyway! Oh well. It's only 1 night and I'm already back on track mentally.
I have an 8 miler today. I'm hoping for 30 miles this week, so if I do 8 today and 6 on Sunday, I've got it. I was going to work it out so that my long run was Saturday, but then, I would have to rest today and couldn't make my weekly total. The whole deal with taking Wednesday off has thrown me.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!

Whatever will I do with myself? So, if this is it, I managed over 6 weeks to lose 2.5 pounds. But, that's not what is important. I have so much more knowledge about eating than I did before!

I have learned I can't keep fooling myself and eating crap. I may lose weight, but it will come back when I inevitably eat too much of it. I need to just cut it out. For me, it is better to go buy a single serving of a real food and then be done, than to buy boxes of 100 calorie yummies. I've also learned that I can push on the exercise for a few days, but if I'm also restricting my calories, it will not end well
Have you watched the Grey's finale yet? omg. That's all I'm going to say.
Thank you again for running this challenge! It has really helped me. I have not been a big loser, but I have learned tremendously and that is going to probably help me even more in the long run, which is what we're all about here!

Seriously, I hope you feel good for all you legs and finish strong!

That's all you CAN say. And yes, the milkshake was wonderful!
