Good Morning, Leanies!
So glad to be back, if just for a short time...
Vicky -- Not having your clothes fit because they are too big, Priceless! What a great accomplishment! I think it depends on the quality of the clothes and the number of times you would wear them if it's worth it to take it in. I recently bought some pants that were just too long, and it was worth every penny to get them hemmed. I wear them most weeks, and they fit me well, which is hard with my hips being too much larger than my waist.
Good luck with your condo search -- moving is a lot of work!
Tandy -- I hope things went well with the endocrinologist. I know how frustrating it is to do what you should and not see the results. So glad to hear your dad came through his surgery, and wishing him a speedy and uneventful recovery
Jackie --
a little belated! (I only know because it was posted on Team Ohana).
I promise to do a mini TR, but I don't think I will get to it until I get back from my business trip. I'm going to Denver all next week for a conference. I'll have my crackberry so I'll be reading, but probably not posting much. I promise that once I get back I will post so much you will all get sick of me!
I plan to run 10M tomorrow. I ran 4M on Labor Day, and that was it. I did an hour of office laps yesterday and today, so at least that's something. Things have been crazy with the start of school for ds, but he is settling in now and I think they'll do fine without me next week. My dh has to go to the parent Open House without me, hopefully he'll remember to tell me everything.
I'm starting to eat well again, of course that will probably go out the window next week. Mentally, I think I'm sort of having a new start when I get back. I am taking my workout clothes with me, it's supposed to be a stellar gym so I plan to get 3 runs in. I don't have an exact conference schedule so I'm not sure how long they will be (gotta get it in before things get going for the day, and I'm not sure when the gym opens). But I am going 3 times. Plus, I'm staying on this pedestrian mall, so I expect to get some walking in to go get my dinners. Unfortunately, the close restaurants appear to be Hard Rock, P.F. Chang's, etc., but I'm sure I'll find a Subway or Quiznos.
I have a few work things to get done this morning -- and tomorrow it's going to be crazy. We have a kitty vet appt., haircuts for ds and dh, signing dh up for a 5K on Sunday, and taking ds school shopping for more clothes and supplies, plus getting me ready to travel again. I feel like I just unpacked, oh wait, I did!
I fly out early Monday morning, and get back late Friday night.
Everyone have a great weekend and week, just in case I don't make it back!

Good job on the run this morning!
I hope it was fun!

I will have to run one day in Denver before we head to the mountains and do all our hiking, or I will never make it!
Considering where you were just a few weeks ago, I didn't think I'd see you running those numbers until months after your surgery. Just keep up that ice and rest!

for the both of you! Any luck figuring out the cause of your hair loss or was that related to the thyroid problems as well?
I can't believe how long that took to go away.

But I'm being pretty aggressive in trying to get rid of it. I took lots of naps, drinking lots of tea, water and orange juice and trying oil of oregano. One of the girls at the office swears by it (it doesn't taste very good).
Otherwise, there's no way I'm keeping up with you girl! I answered you on the other thread, but you may not have read it. Yes, I think it would be wonderful to do the full together!!!!! My issue is this: I really want to go for a good time in the half, and, because of that, I want to make sure I'm not holding you back in the full. I'm going to be running on tired legs. But, I'm going to try some 10/1 splits in my long runs and see how I do. I normally just run, with no walking. But, I've never done a marathon, and I certainly haven't done one after running a half the day before. So, long answer to your question, yes, I think it would be fun to do the full together and I will try very hard to keep up with you.
You're much much faster than I am! Sorry, I type this stuff at work sometimes so I forget to go back and re-read what I've put down. The time from the 2:10 time from the 30K was how long it took me to get to the 21.1K (half marathon distance) point in the race. I don't have a time goal really for the full since it's my first. I think I'd like to finish it in under 5:00 but I'm not sure how the last 12K will go. Keep me posted on whether you're able to go or not. Even if we don't get to run together, I'll still say hello at the WISH meet!
