My journey into The Walt Disney World College Program begins August 08, 2012. I will be doing Quick Service Food and Beverage and plan on living it up while down there.

Cast of Characters: Pictures to come!

Me: Julianne, 23 years old will be a recent college Grad! I am more than excited to do this program. I actually was a participant in the Fall 2008 program but do to personal reasons I self termed. :headache: I decided that since I am graduating and going to be doing nothing.... I should apply for the program! To my surprise I actually got in, I have had a ton of work experience since I left the program and I have even lived by myself.

DF: Aaron, 22 years old. He will be doing Merchandise. I actually got him to start liking Disney. He was a participant in the Fall 2008 Career Start Program and stayed throughout the program.

This is Aaron and I from 2010 I believe. We were at the zoo for the day, this is the only picture of us I can find right now.

Program Dates: August 08 to January 04. We both plan on extending our program, getting a professional internship or even going full time somewhere in the company.

I am looking forward to this program and will be posting interesting stuff a long the way. From what I wear to traditions to how work was that day. :dance3: So sit back, relax, grab some popcorn popcorn:: and ENJOY!

I am so following along!

My dream is to work for Disney (I'm not sure doing what yet) and to do the CP. I would love to hear about your experiences doing it!

Can't wait to read about it! :)

Thank you!! I think that everyone should want to work for Disney. I know a lot of people don't like it like I do... but I hope you enjoy

Since Aaron and I are flying from Oregon. We have to leave a day early. Our check-in is August 08 between 9am and 12pm. We are going to have to fly in the day before.

August 07: This day is our travel day. We will be spending pretty much all of it in the air or airports to get to Orlando. We decided that we are going to stay on property for one night and then take a taxi or possibly rent a car for check-in.
August 08: This is check-in day. We will be getting our housing assignments. I already have two roommates I believe, and he does not have any as of right now. Hopefully we will get into the same complex!!!

For now we still have so much to do! I am graduating in 17 days, we have to move out of our apartment, I need to give my two weeks and then I need to pack and buy clothes for traditions! This is going to be the best summer/year of my life and I cannot wait!
Also, Aaron does not know this yet... but I think that we might look at Disney Weddings while we are down there. So hopefully we will be able to get married somewhere down there, we will have to see how much everything is!

I'm in. Looking forward to following along. I was accepted into the College Program back in 1998 but then backed out when I became engaged. (Looking back now I really really wish I would have gone ahead with the once in a lifetime opportunity). My dream is to someday move to Florida and work for WDW in whatever capacity I can .. I'd work anywhere just to be able to have daily contact with the guests.

We will be there in September so I'll definitely look you up to say "hi".

I will be at WDW August 12-19th, so maybe I will see you. Do you know what QS place you will be working at?

I hope you guys get into the same complex!

Oh my gosh! Getting married at Disney would be the most incredible thing EVER! I refuse to get married any other place besides Disney.
I hope that everything will work out in terms out how much the wedding would be. That’s so exciting!

Sometimes, things just happen for reasons. One day you probably will be able to move and work in Walt Disney World. Oh I look forward to saying Hi to people!

That is exciting, I should be doing training or almost out of training at that point.
As part of the College Program you don't find out where you are working until you check-in. So I have a long time to wait.. Well not that long but it seems like forever.

I just told my DF that I think we should get a quote and see about a Disney wedding... He was like "Where?" I said... "Disney World..." "oh okay." I think that he was a little confused. :bride:

Tomorrow is the day I have been waiting for. I remember in middle and high school thinking "you are going to graduate from college one day" well I never thought that day would come.. But it is finally here!! I am super excited and super scared at the same time..

There were many times throughout college that I thought I would have to quit or start over. Both of my parent's have told me time and time again how excited and happy they are of me and for me.

I found out that there is 850 people graduating and I am number 596 to walk. This is going to be a long graduation, I went to a high school with about 150-250 people in my senior class. So not as long or as big! My parents and aunt/uncle are coming down tomorrow. Tonight my sister is coming down. I am making a cake and philly subs for dinner! I am super excited to see her and my family.

After the graduation my family and I are going to a buffet for a celebration of types...It is at a Indian Casino near by that has the biggest buffet in Oregon and it has Crab...did I say I love crab? After diner my fiance and I are coming back to our apartment and are going to start moving stuff back to our homes with our families. I have a bunch of stuff packed already and am super excited to move back!

I will post the recipe of the chocolate cake I am making. I think it is to die for! I have made it several times and am told it is AMAZING!

It is a Chocolate Sour Cream Cake, the real name I think will get * out.

4 eggs
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup (1/2 pint) sour cream
1 package instant chocolate pudding
1 package intant chocolate cake mix
9 oz. chocolate chips (bits!) semi-sweet

Pre-heat oven to 350 degreess.

In large mixing bowl add eggs, water oil and sour cream. Beat well. Add instant chocolate pudding package and continue to beat. Then add package of chocolate cake mix. Continue to beat until smooth.

Fold in bits. Pour into greased bundt or tube pan. and bake for 55-60 minutes. Cool thoroughly before removing from baking dish.

I usually make it and layer it and then I put chocolate frosting as a filling. My sister has been looking forward to this for a while and I am excited to make it.
I don't know if I have mentioned this but.....

only 54 days until the College Program!!!

Since I have nothing better to with my time I created a youtube video a couple weeks ago. Along with the trip report I am planning on doing video blogs to update my friends and family about what is going on in Florida. If you want you can see my video here: My Vlog of Sorts I however, would like to warn any parents who are going to watch it with their children that there is a word that is not so family friendly at the very end during the bloopers. My fiance caught it on film and thought it was funny. It is just a word that starts with an S, but I thought I would warn you in advance! Enjoy!

Congrats on graduating college!
And I watch the video and it was great. I loved all of your pins and your Mickey ears :earsgirl:
