right now i work part time at a high school as a guidance file clerk. i just finished writing up a resume to apply at a photo studio in walmart tomorrow. i'm really excited about it. it'll also be part time (probably only working weekends.)

i really enjoy having a job. i wasn't sure i would, but i do.

do you work anywhere?
how did you get the job?
do you have a resume?

not this year but next summer i'll probably work at six flags great adventure. if i can, i'll try to get a job in ride operations.

yep, i have 2 jobs this summer.

one's fulltime working in an office assisting the human resources people and covering the receptionists breaks. It's alright, the pay is really good and I don't mind doing clerical work. I work 5 days a week 8-4:30 (sometime I only work 4 days a week)

My mom works there so I got the job through her.

My part time job is a t HMV, which is a music/movie store. I love it.
I usually work weekends & monday nights. It's not like work to me though, it's a really simple job and I really enjoy it, because I love movies & music.

I was really lucky to get hired, because they rarely hire and they have sooo many people apply most people don't even get an interview. But I was just there at the right time and the manager took a liking to me.
I was hired as a temp for Christmas but they wound up keeping me :thumbsup2

And yes, I do have a resume.

I work at the YMCA in Kid's Stuff. Basically I babysit kids and what not. On the weekends I set up and tear down birthday parties. The babysitting part can be fun at times but the birthday parties just suck. . .period.

Does volunteer work count? I'm helping out at Lark in the Park again, that is if I get the application form in soon. It's already a week late, but i've helped there the past 5-6 years, that they shouldn't mind too much.

I'm not allowed to get a job unless it's walking distance, or until after I get my license. =/

I've been working for a little over a year, 14 months to be exact. I started when I was 16. I loved my job at the beginning (I work at Jamba Juice). But 14 months later, I hate it. I am the youngest worker there at 17 and have worked at my store the longest because I was part of the opening team. I make decent money for being 17, part of the reason I am still there. But some of the staff there make me want to leave. And the work there is not what you would expect. Plus add in being given the dirty work and worst shifts because I'm 17 and don't go to college and I pretty much dread going into work every time. Which is unfortunate considering I am full time there again since I'm on summer break...Oh well, I guess I really shouldn't be complaining because 1) I have a job and 2) I make bank for being 17. :)
I do have an awesome (unpaid) internship that I love though! Which kinda sorta makes up for hating my normal job...

I work at Johnny Rockets. It's a family restaurant, themed like a 50s diner. http://johnnyrockets.com/

I've been there just over a year. Been the to-go girl the entire time. In a couple weeks I'll be a server. It's an okay job. I've only worked weekends the entire time I've been there. I got written up for the first time a week ago, so I guess I'm pretty good at my job.

On a busy night I am hostess, To-Go, busser, and helper.... it's a lot. I like a lot of the people that I work with. But it's surprising how many people they've hired for the summer. We have over twenty servers right now. And they just keep hiring. But the servers don't make money if there are 5 people on. But some people will quit. I can tell.

YMCA, either the teen or child areas... if they hire me, but I think they will (I've had a couple hundred comunity service hours there)

I work at a Bulk Food store. Which basically means, you put food in a bag, and you pay by weight.
Anyhoo, I have a love/hate relationship with my job. There are days where I hate it more than anything, and then there are days where I love it.
The pay is good, so all is well.

I don't really have a resume, seen as I haven't updated it since I got my job almost a year and most of the stuff on that resume would not work anymore as qualifications.

I love your signature. I love Jack Dawson (But RPatts isn't to bad either)

I just got a job at Taco Bell, I had no resume. I walked in applied, the manager called me that day, and asked me for an interview. I went and they liked me so I got hired. It took two days. I am scared to start though. This is my first real job, and at 17 I will one of the youngest ones working there.

I work at No Frills, one of the grocery stores in my town. I'm a cashier, and I've been there for about 8 months. It's a pretty decent job. The only crappy thing is that there's a code for EVERYTHING! But, most of the people are really cool, and they're really lenient about asking for time off. Since my summer is usually full of a lot of trips, it's good that I don't have to worry about getting work off.

I don't have a resume. This is my first job, unless you want to count babysitting my close family friend's son as a serious job (I don't xD).

I work at CVS.
I hate it. I get yelled at all the time for things that are out of my control (like the pharmacy closing at 6 on weekends and people aren't aware, the photo machine breaking down and we can't do photos, we are out of a certain item that's on sale...), I get hit on ALL THE TIME by creepy 50 year old men, I get paid $7.50/hour and I've been there for 2 years...this list is endless.
The only good thing about my job is the people I work with. I love my managers and all the people I work with. We always have a good time.

I have a job. I'll be working back at Attitash for the summer (they do summer stuff in addition to being a ski resort) at their ice cream shop. Hoping to make some decent cash. I'll be working close to 40 hours a week, so I'm excited about that. I need all the cash I can get before I head off to college.

I got the job because I impressed my supervisor over the winter and after mentioning that I'd be looking for a summer job, she held a spot for me (even though I a) missed the job fair and b) was a month late getting my application in because the online app service was malfunctioning).

Haha. No, I don't have a resume.

I work at shop rite!
It's brand new, just opened up in our town may 31st.
I'm a cashier, and sometimes I bag or block.
It's an ok job. I have to deal with a lot of people...especially shoobies! It's a pretty boring job. But I meet some pretty nice people. (Although, I meet real nasty people too....)

I used to work at acme. I was just a bagger there.

I'd like to get out of the whole grocery store thing though.

what?

I work in a coffee shop, its pretty chill.
But I hate it when people order like its starbucks. I mean dude, if you want starbucks, go to starbucks! I don't know all the starbucks drinks, and people will come in and be like 'what is your version of [insert fancy drink name here]'? And Im always just like is that a latte?? or... what?? I obv. dont go to starbucks, because I get free coffee at my job. Its annoying.

Well, i'm not going to be 16 till July 6th
And most people don't hire until 16.
but, when i do turn 16 i'll be applying at Journey's and Pacsun. :]
i REALLY hope i get a job at one of them.
