You could also start a home daycare. Business is booming in my area. I make 60K plus all the tax deducations last year. Plus, I was home with my kids before and after school. It's not an easy job but It was the best move I ever made, PM with any questions

You can review their info and there is minimal start up costs involved. The exam you have to take is usually $99 but right now i think they are offering it for free until the end of the month. Also background check is around $13 I think...I have been working as an indep contractor since feb with them and I couldn't be happier!

thanks for the info i tried to sign up, but my PC runs windows vista, which isn't supported by arise yet. not sure i want to downgrade it to windows xp.

I pay my son's tutor $60 and that's for reading help so as the other person said if you have a ED. degree you can do well especially in NY my friend gets $95 but she is in a very wealthy area.

Here in western New York State you would be lucky to get $20.00 an hour for tutoring. People here have to pay for their own summer school program run by the local BOCES, and have to transport their own kids to and from summer school, which could be as much as a 25 or 30 mile roundtrip. School districts just won't pay for summer school any more.
