Also thought of this phrase, "circle back." I didn't mind it at first, but all of a sudden it's all I kept hearing. And that started to annoy me.

More like they distract rather than annoy. Oh yeah, that’s another one. Why does then/than get mixed up more often than used being used correctly. Didn’t everyone have a 6th grade teacher who was obsessed with teaching the difference all year long? Then you’re sure to get it right for the rest of your life.

Don't even get me started on "messaging platforms"!!! When i was working we used Slack and the big boss got mad one day because nobody in my work group responded to a request from her. She sent the message to a group none of us had ever heard of and none of us were in. We had a middle manager who liked to create new groups and not tell anyone. We had like 30 groups for a company with 100 employees. The week I retired they switched to Microsoft teams and corporate was trying to figure out why we had more than 5 groups.
