That's interesting. Do you get a new one at midnight Eastern Time? It's after 10:00 on the West Coast and I'm still getting the Saturday Wordle. The Times releases new crosswords to everyone at the same time. Not true of Wordle??

I THINK it's midnight at your location. When I was in CA a couple of years ago I don't think I had access until midnight local time.

Yes, the truncation problem started a few weeks ago. Emoji's do usually solve it, but I've tried a few lately that didn't work. It's strange.
