I did not use my second stab in the dark word, tried the wrong spotted letter in slot 5 and got the right guess out of several possibilities.

Ever since this got taken over by the New York Times it seems harder? Do others feel that way? I was getting used to it getting better but don't feel like I have since the takeover.

I only played a couple of times before the takeover… I only became an addict after the Disboards got involved.

I’m interested in how others play Wordle. I usually use the known letters (green or yellow) and work from there. I have only once just used unknown letters as there were too many choices and needed to narrow it down. I have used the same first word from the very beginning and it’s worked well for me, even today when I had no letters in the first word. I’ve been playing word games every day for years to keep my mind active and I read a lot.
