WOOHOOO! Byron came thru!-got BWV for home resort!

We have been throwing around buying in DVC since VWL came out! I know-we're crazy-it's really been my DH. I would have snatched up BCV when they came out. Anyway-we were going to buy SSR and I still was partial to BWV/BCV and Bryon called yesterday and said he had points at BWV! So pending approval we are new BWV DVC'ers! Downpayment is gone and paperwork is on it's way!

We were going this December but decided to put that money towards a nice down payment for BWV. I am said about having to change my counter but I have a feeling I will weasle a way into getting to WDW before then!

Anyway I have wanted to join the DVC family for so long-somebody pinch me!!!!!!

Tinkerbeck: Congrats! How many points did you get? We can't make up our mind over BWV or BCV we may just see what will come through first? how long did it take you? I'm trying to decide whether to go through Disney too. I understand though it can take longer. But not having to pay closings sounds good. I wonder if however is it more in the long run to 1. no closing, but higher point (since it's Disney we are closing through) or 2. go through Time share resale's, where there is closing costs but may get lower big on $ per point. Hmm what do you think?

So, was there some sort of Magical Beginnings (or whatever they're calling it this week) where you got a certain amount off the regular price? Did you have to give up this year's points?

Last week I was told by disney there was nothing left at BWV. So I had them send me paperwork for SSR and sent it out yesterday.She told me they would let me know if anything opened up at BWV. When did they call you ?
