I can try to load Chrome (on this machine) and check it out if you'd like. Here's what I see in Firefox on mine.
I'm basically pointing at the word until. There's a half-second pause and this pops up.

Just a thought: do you guys have a pop-up manager installed? I haven't inspected what's going on underneath and if it's done with CSS/js, it's probably not the issue, but if it's a true pop-up your browser may be suppressing it.

I restarted my computer because I just did an update to my machine so I thought that might be it but it still doesn't work in Chrome. However, it does work in IE. I'll keep trying in Chrome. At least I know it's there somewhere. Thanks!

Do you have javascript locked down in the browser?

I found the element in the CSS, I haven't found the JS for it yet, but I'm assuming that it's using javascript to populate the div with the thread preview.

It works fine on Firefox for me but still not on Chrome.

Try the color scheme labeled "dark theme" (or something similar). The background there is a light gray instead of the bright white.

As for.old posts, I think they said the search function wasn't working quite yet and that they were still transferring data? They asked to give them a few days.

Here are the Chrome Settings on my fresh Chrome install. At some point I tired of typing (recommended) but they're all the recommended choices as I haven't made any changes to the base install.

Cookies: Allow local data to be set (recommended)
Images: Show all images (recommended)
Javascript: Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)
Handlers: Allow sites to ask to become default handlers for protocols
Plug-ins: Run automatically
Pop-ups: Do not allow any site to show pop-ups
Location: Ask when a site tries to track your physical location
Notifications: Ask when a site wants to show desktop notifications
Mouse cursor: Ask when a site tries to disable the mouse cursor
Protected content: Allow identifiers for protected content {checked}
Media: Ask when a site requires access to your camera and microphone
Unsandboxed plug-in acccess: Ask when a site wants to use a plug-in to access your computer
Automatic Downloads: ASk when a site tries to download files automatically after the first file

Extensions loaded:
Google docs
Google Sheets
Google Slides
Websense Endpoint​

I posted this in another thread too - if the "dark theme" is still not a good color scheme for gyou, then I suggest googling "xenforo styles". I did this last night, and the first link was a forum with a bunch of different color schemes and styles. Find one you like and post it to the tech help board here with either a link or a screenshot so that the DIS web team can see what kind of scheme would work better, and maybe they can get something that will work better for gyou then.
