Woohoo, Its Christmas Day

I always get all my christmas shopping done during half term week (DH and I are teachers.) We usually go to Milton Keynes and get it done in 1 day. We are celebrating Christmas a few weeks early this year as we will be in WDW on Christmas day and several other relatives are going to Australia for Christmas.

I have only bought one thing so far, a princess story dvd for DD. Have saved £47 on my asda savings card so that will go towards the christmas shopping. I love christmas and can't wait to get the tree up and start buying things. DH is having another op on his leg in 3 weeks so he will have to get me some bits before :goodvibes
DD wants Barbie and the Magic of pegasus (everything to do with it) Another Cinderella doll ' but mummy this one has a magic wand that lights up' Cinderellas glass slipper game and everything else she sees on the TV :)

I keep dropping hints 'Radley handbag' disney pjs and a Disney snowglobe :)

he just finished another present got my neice abi a bratz mystery date set, (with the ultra rare bryce lol like i know who that is) on ebay brand new, one down 20 to go

I've started getting a few bits and pieces for the children but haven't thought yet about anyone else! Eldest DD wants everything Barbie and the magic of Pegasus and youngest DD - she'll be 3, is so laid back she just says "presents" when asked what she wants!

My DH normally leaves it until a week before :( but this year im going to get him to start alot earlier :teeth: he will love that :rotfl:

Christmas Day is my Birthday too :Pinkbounc :teeth:

I don't start Christmas shopping until November otherwise i end up giving the presents sooner than the actual day :rotfl2:

I have almost all of DD1 pressies and have some pressies for DD2 but her birthday is the week before Christmas so not sure yet whether they're Christmas or birthday presents but have at least made a start. Have a couple of relatives ones as well.

I love Christmas but like to get my shopping all done and dusted before December so I can sit back and enjoy.

Will be doing most of it in WDW this November and as always will be completely stuck for ideas for Callum - 10 year old buy at that time, any ideas gratefully received!!!! :cool1: Also my Mum is the most difficult person in the world to buy for but hopefully she'll find something in 'the world'

My mum is the same Carol, when we went in May I bought one of those really nice wooden photo frames with Mickey icons on in a size 7 x 5, and then I had about 4 photos developed at Wal-Mart to fit them, and she loved it.

Thanks Mandy, great idea but unfortunately have done the photo thing every xmas birthday and mothers day for years!! due to not being able to think of anything else! I'm sure she'll see a snowglobe or some item of clothing or something she wants when we're there so I don't worry too much, Callum is the big problem really as his birthday is in October so by xmas he's had everything he wanted for 2 months already!!

Oooh Im in the festive spirit now! Ive just booked tickets to see Santa Claus the musical on December 22nd, that should definately put us in the Christmas mood!

DS2 is due in hospital on the 14 November and will be in for approx 2 weeks and then possibley off school until January, so I'm on a mission!!

Also have DS1 birthday in November so have that to get sorted.
The plan is to get our family done ie DH,DS1 and DS2 first. I have asked all the rellies what they want and have said if they don't let me know pretty soon then they will be getting gift vouchers this year, which I hate doing as I love the Christmas thing, choosing, buying, wrapping and giving.

DS2 is easy for once as there is a load of new Train bits out he wants add a few new DVDs and CDs I think I will have cracked it. Also I will be able to shop on line if I'm home to receive the deliveries!

OMG!

On the USA community they are saying that the Christmas decs have already gone up! We thought we were keen!

I can honestly say that if I could, (and didn't worry what other people thought) I'd put my tree up now - I'm just too excited

I could but I know that by Christmas I would be bored with it and it wouldnt seem so special. I just cant believe that in September the shops have already put their xmas dispays up!

I've just bought my Christmas cards today, they weren't in Asda yesterday, but they were today - yippee - they've got Mickey & Minnie on them - arrrr !!!

:cool1: Woohoo! I am so excited about Christmas! I have started my shopping, mainly because I won't want to take our newborn shopping with me!

I am going to get DH to get the wrapping paper that we bought in last years sales out of the loft at the weekend so that I can start wrapping stuff up, I think I might get a new countdown for Christmas actually! Wooopy dooooo!
