Woohoo, Its Christmas Day

We noticed that ASDA in Nuneaton had cleared a large area of shelving last Saturday, so I guess the Xmas stuff is going in there :)

DW is planning to do our Xmas shopping next Saturday in Leicester. We don't really want to leave it 'til the last minute because we will be too excited and preoccupied with our WDW trip :)

We will also be putting our tree up a little earlier than we usually do :)

Yes Tim, the cards and wrapping stuff is in the Nuneaton Asda now.

I'll be putting my Christmas tree up on its usual date (last weekend of November), so we'll get a few weeks with it, and then we're going to buy a small tree at Wal-Mart for our room at the Pop Century - woohoo !!!

well i cant believe it! i've actually bought 1 xmas pressie in september! this is all due to you lot! your all so organised its rubbing off on me :teeth:
i bought my eldest dd(19) a tinkerbell pj short and top set from asda last night :cheer2: they also had other disney ones there, donald and daisy, tigger and a mickey! :wizard: the tink one was £10 -bargain!!

I always leave a lot till the last minute, as a few years back, nearly everything I had bought (especially kids toys) were reduced by Christmas Eve!!

Will probably do most online this year as my ever growing bump will not be condusive to battling my way round the shops!

If it was possible to find flights to Orlando CHEAP about a week before Xmas we would be off! Wouldnt bother with the parks - just dont want the hassle of Xmas at home this year - last year I got quite used to looking smugly at everyone "doing Christmas" and getting grumpy whilst knowing we would be in Florida! Unfortunately, "Flights, Xmas and Cheap" do not belong in the same sentence!!!

Presents this year include..DD wants the Lego police station and airport that Argos are selling as a twin pack, a hair braider, Peppa Pig house and car, plus every toy she advertised between now and Dec 25th!! DS never asks for anything (just had his birthday and struggled to buy for that!!) but we will probably get him a new play tent and some Duplo bricks.

I've got to slow down - eldest DD has 12 presents already and it's still only September.

Ive just returned from the asda, bought some lovely winnie the pooh christmas wrapping paper in red!

I have now bought about 8 christmas presents, a few are on the way from my avon mag (thank god I run it lol)

plus as an early xmas present we have found out my sisters second lump in her leg isnt cancerous, so its confined to the skin on her head, which is a relief

We popped to Merry Hill this afternoon, and I managed to pick up a couple of stocking fillers (every little bit helps), and some pressies for eldest DD's friends including a gorgeous Piglet T-shirt in the Disney Store for £6 (half price).

Anna, thats good news about your sister too :)

I know some of you lucky people are going to WDW for xmas (I am sooooo not jealous! )

I don't condone shops dragging us in earlier and earlier each year but I am getting the 'xmas feeling'.

Perhaps it is because it is getting darker & cooler in the evenings or maybe because DF & my mam have been asking what I would like as a present. But who cares?! I loooove Xmas!!!

This will be mine & DF first in our first house and unlike previous years where we stayed at his parents will be at our home this year and doing all our visiting on boxing day :goodvibes .

Havnt bought any presents yest but I certainly have list's of stuff I need to buy and stuff I want!

I have a girls only shopping weekend planned for the first weekend in Nov in York. The problem is last year we did loads of shopping but not many items were for other people ;)

I've got a Christmas Shopping trip to Oxford towards the end of November with the girls, there isn't much shopping done usually on these trips, but we do find some nice pubs :rotfl:

I too think that Bhs has one of the best Christmas set ups, they'll probably be ready with their Crimbo stuff soon. We live in Nuneaton, about 15 mins from Coventry, it usually takes us about an hour to get to Merryhill.

BTW Emily, I take it you meant Merryhill, I know it gets bad, but it's not that bad is it ????? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm going to do all my Christmas shopping in Milton Keynes at half term (DH and I are teachers and always do our shopping this week.) I need to check my Christmas stash in the loft though. I remember buying loads of Disney christmas cards in the sales last year. Everyone is getting a DIsney card this year and all gifts will be wrapped in Disney paper. Can you tell I'm making the point I'll be in WDW this Christmas??
