**Woohoo !! It's Christmas Day**

It's happened to me at this time of year before. It was OK then so I'm hoping for the best now.

Well there I was feeling relieved that I was finally getting on top of things for CHristmas when my oven element has blown!

We've ordered a new element - just keeping my fingers crossed that it will arrive in time to cook Christmas lunch - I can't see everything fitting in the top oven.

Eeek - hope that turns up on time.

I haven't spent all my day tree-decorating. We also found time to do our Disney Christmas jigsaw.

After my overtime shift this evening I have a week & half off, so this week I plan to wrap all my presents ( I put it off as long as possible as I hate doing it!). We don't have the decorations up yet as the puppy is likely to destroy everything

All my presents have been bought and wrapped, and all I've got to do is get my food shopping done next week (hopefully when all the predicted snow has melted )

The cooker is fixed!!

I can't believe how quickly the part came - it arrived yesterday. DH fitted the new element last night and I've just baked a cake to check everything is OK - so that's a bonus not only do I have a working cooker but cake as well!!

I'm almost done on the shopping front, just a few more bits to get. I must start wrapping them soon.

I am way behind as ever ... still have 50% cards to write and post, 50 %presents to buy and 100% to wrap. Still no tree up either. I now have 4 days off work and I am hoping to try and do a bit. Also have a Christmas party tomorrow which would perhaps make me feel a bit festive if I didn't feel so yucky with a viral thing, congestion, bad throat and cough etc.
