**Woohoo !! It's Christmas Day**

Had our first trip out christmas shopping today and made a really great start.

I had a £20 gift card for M&s that I got for my birthday and as I still hadn't seen anything I wanted I decided to use it to get the kids presents. I managed to get 6 £5 presents in the 3 for 2 for my £20 which was fantastic. They were nice gifts as well.

Got DD pink DS lite, starter pack, pink case and 3 Disney games £140 which was great. I had planned on buying loads of stuff in boots as well but it was all so heavy I am going to do it online. It was nice to see it before I bought it though.

Claire did you get a black tree I keep eying them up but can't decide whether to splash out on one or not. We cna only have one this year as our kitten would dismantle one if we left him in the kitchen/ diner with it at night. So that means we can only put one in the font room. The artificial tree that I have was very expensive and DH keeps making a face every time I mention a new one :lmao:

I also forgot that we went to the Disney store and got DD 2 very cute Stitch's one dressed as an elf and one dressed in winter woolies, very cute.

We picked up our annual dated pooh bear bauble as well but annoyingly it is blue this year which seems strange as they have been cream red and green since 2000! Don;t they realise that this will not coordinate properly with my tree :lmao:

My Mum has bought the Christmas Good Food and is selfishly not letting me read it first! :lmao:

Bob xoxoxox

A long standing Christmas tradition in our house as well - I bought the Christmas one today as well:thumbsup2

Forgot to mention that in Tesco (:worship: ), I bought the Father Christmas from the Chilly range of cuddly toys. Will get the "Emily" doll and penguins next time I'm there.

Great start on your shopping Em! I have finished mine!

I have ordered a black tree tonight but I don't think it will be here until next week. I am a little worried though as it's the sort of thing I like to see before buying but I guess if I don't like it then it will be going back and I'll have to find another one.

What height are you thinking of getting?

Lucky you having finished all your christmas shopping - still you need to be organised not long now :cool1: I'm back to work tomorrow but will send an email soon :surfweb:

I wouldn't want less than a 6ft tree but 8ft would be ideal :goodvibes

I know this time in 4 weeks and we will be settling in & unpacking at the HRH!! :cool1: I look forward to your email.

All the black trees I saw today were 4 or 5 ft. :confused3 I have seen quite a few 6 & 7ft one's online but it's hard to tell from a piccie.

I am still looking for wrapping paper - I decided I wanted purple but cant find any :lmao:

Jackie, I saw some purple wrapping paper in Asda today, I think it was 1.97 for 5m. There was also ribbon and tags to match - I hope that helps

I've made a start bought some clothes in florida and a packet of shortbread here last week and thats it! xmas has come around too soon for me :rotfl:

Thanks for that Mandy. :goodvibes I will keep it in mind but ideally wanted a full size rather than slimline. I have ordered one online from Woolworths (they didn't have it out to look at) so fingers crossed it will be ok.

i got some lovely gold crackers for the table i havn't yet got :rotfl2:

Those sounds lovely Nat. I used to like to buy the Celebrations crackers (as I liked getting a choccie rather than a trinket) but I haven't seen them for years :santa:

I'm sure it will be lovely Claire :santa:

Off to Reading this weekend for some more present ideas and a day out. I do belive the Oracle has a Disney Store... may have to go on a little spending spree again (spent 100.00 in there in one transaction last year! :goodvibes )
