**Woohoo !! It's Christmas Day**

Is anyone braving the shops today ? Hubby dragged me to Birmingham this morning. Thankfully we didn't need much, so we were in and out in no time - It was packed with Christmas shoppers

I'm glad I'm home now :santa:

Eek!!! I rarely go to the shops anymore, Mandy - unless I'm on holiday!!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

However, I did do my last little bit of online shopping today as suddenly had inspiration for our 14 year old niece - a Fossil watch and a set of GHD straighteners! :thumbsup2 Got an excellent deal with the watch. Bought it from the H Samuel website where it was half the price of everywhere else, got 12% cashback via Quidco AND a £25 voucher (for spending on Jim Shore Disney figures after Christmas) which this meant the £65 watch cost around £3... :flower:

Also got my DH a set of the Bose noise reduction headphones as he's doing a lot more travelling with work nowadays and they were on 4 EasyPay instalments on QVC... All in all, an excellent day... :woohoo: :santa: :woohoo:

BTW I've just had a Chrismosa (thanks DH:thumbsup2 ), we're watching Elf and I'm feeling v-e-r-y festive... :santa:

I really don't like the film Elf... Robert adores it, but there's something about it that makes me feel very uncomfortable..... :confused3 Don't know what though....

The panto Sleeping Beauty was great fun, that we all went to yesterday.Dd3 was a little scared of the nasty Narcisus flower/witch-poor thing. Both girls caught a Lindt choccy ball when they were thrown out at the end. Also we queued when we came out so the girls could meet the cast+have there photo's taken with them. Will post some pics tomorrow(hopefully).

We sky+ Elf today(as we went to see DH's Nan)we really like the film :thumbsup2 .Can't wait to watch it in the week.

Have just finished wrapping some more pressies, whislt having a glass of caramel Bailey's+listening to christmas songs :santa: .

Dd7 has her Christmas play tomorrow+Tue night-can't wait for that,she's an Angel.x.

We went to the town carol service earlier - they had a real donkey there, plus a couple from the congregation dressed as Mary and Joseph and their little baby wrapped up as Jesus. The baby was absolutely gorgeous and lay as good as gold the whole way through. The Salvation Army brass band was playing too and it was a lovely service. :goodvibes

Even earlier I wrapped presents and cried my eyes out through Love Actually and It's a Wonderful Life.

Later on we all watched The Flint Street Nativity - has anyone else got that DVD?
