Did I read this correctly? I thought I saw here that they had some type of BarBQ type meal with a Woody's Round up type show back in Big Thunder Ranch. I know they did the Santa's Ranch thing with the show and cookie decorating. Does anyone know about this and will they be offereing it again this summer?

They are bringing back Big Thunder BBQ area this spring. I think they are reopening in April.

Oh, I see now that you make make PSs for it. I guess it sounds like a character meal type place, only outside. I wonder how much it costs.

That sounds yummy but if there are characters then it probably costs too much.

Did you guys see the 2 paragraphs on the left side of that web page under the heading "tips and fun facts"? It says:

Enter the cabin, where there are photographs of major events in the barnyard critters' lives such as cows getting married, State Fair prizes, a horse's second birthday party, a college graduation ceremony for one of the goats, and so on. The animals are dressed up for their photos.

Each day celebrate barnyard critters' milestones with the ranch hands, focusing on one of the animals who is on display inside the cabin.

Sounds pretty funny.

Oh man, any word on which characters are involved in this? And remind me, how far in advance can one make PS reservations? Thanks! :goodvibes

I've heard Chip and Dale and Pluto, at least.

DLR Priority Seating arrangements can be made 60 days in advance by calling Disney Dining on (714) 781-DINE.

90 days out? It is my understanding that it is 60 days for a p.s.

I was wondering when exactly in April, this BBQ was to begin. Now I know, yes!
It is scheduled to open on April 01st, and if my plans go without a hitch, I shall partake in this dining event on the third, for my birthday.
I wonder if I can finally talk my way into visiting their herd of 32 horses. I know my way around horses, just ask any of them. :)

;) I was rather figuring that you had in mind WDW. I get DL and WDW confused too, sometimes. he he

If anyone does make a PS I'd love to know the cost. Probably along the lines of Goofy's Kitchen or something is my guess.

I had called sometime ago, Disney Dining did not have the information at that time. The CM had told me, times past, that this event had taken place, that a p.s. was necessary, and that the cost would be that of a character meal.

It's "Woody's Round-Up" and the characters are Chip and Dale? Why not Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and BullsEye? I'd pay for a meal with the Toy Story characters!

I do not believe that WRC, is the actual name. I might be wrong, but I do not recall having seen it advertised as such. Maybe I was not paying enough attention?(Shrugs)

I think you are right. The Disney web site calls it "Celebration Roundup".

The full formal name is "Celebration Roundup and Barbecue at Big Thunder Ranch".

That being said, the Toy Story characters will indeed be present. This is what I have:

Disneyland Resort said:
Along with great food, the venue will feature festive music and entertainment keeping the down-home party jumping all day long. Woody, Jesse, Bullseye, Miss Chris and her friends will be helping Guests celebrate any and all occassions as they chow down on some good ole fashioned bbq!

Though, oddly enough, the promotional picture features Chip and Dale.

If its a Toy Story Character meal we are SO there!!!!!!!!! My kids haven't seen Jessie or Bullseye yet, and we have spent 3 trips looking for them!!! This would be an amazing surprise for them. :goodvibes
