I heard that when Woody's Lunchbox first opened the crowd levels were pretty high and people were waiting a long time to place an order. Now that the restaurant is almost a year old I was wondering if it still gets outrageously crowded at lunch time? My trip is July 10 and we'd probably visit Woody's Lunchbox for an early lunch. Thanks!

The “restaurant” is tiny, like a mall food fair counter, it will be crowded, maybe planning a early lunch will be on your side. Don’t want to discourage you, but be prepared for a very hot lunch under Florida sun, Disney did amazingly wrong with TSL there is zero shaded areas.

In July, it will be hot, there aren't many tables, all of which are outdoors and only a few are shaded.

To save time, mobile order, then head over to ABC Commissary or any CS with indoor AC seating to eat your lunch.

It's July in Toy Story Land and pretty much the only place to grab food. You will, most likely have a challenge finding a place to sit down. Eat early (like you mentioned) and it should be doable.

I was there about 3 weeks ago. Still a madhouse, still nowhere to sit. I was standing in line, decided to do mobile order, and got out of line and picked up my order before the woman ahead of me even had ordered. :confused3
The lack of seating, shade, and a/c in TSL make Woody's pretty hot property because there's no where else to go if you're not riding SDD.

You can kind of do things in reverse; instead of getting your food, then standing around looking for a place to sit, you can do the hovering thing first until you can find an open table.

Once your group finds a spot, do a mobile order from your table.

That’s what we did last trip. A bit of walk , but many shaded tables outside ABC commissary too.

As others have suggested mobile order is definitely the way to go. We've been twice just to grab a snack but went around 1030 or 1045 and didn't have trouble getting a table. So going early may be a good bet.

we plan to have early lunch at around 1045 but not sure how crazy it will be since it will be on an EEMH day ( but it will be during the week at least )-otherwise we probably will just grab QS at POP when we head back for swim (down) time
