Wooden play structure from Sam's Club?

We were at Sam's Club this weekend and saw a wooden play structure for $998. It had four levels, slide, climbing wall, plus the arm for the swings. I think we're going to buy this for my son, but I thought I'd check on here to see if anyone here has one and if it was sturdy, etc.

I think we are going to buy the exact same set. I checked the reviews at Sams.com. It gets good reviews, as far as I can tell. Although, most people report that it takes about 30 hours to put together.

We have the one from Costco, pretty much the same thing, though. We love ours! It has been going strong for 4 years now. I would definitely compare them to the quality of the Rainbow Playsets, but at a MUCH reduced cost. The downside, of course, is you have to put it together yourself. We actually got my brother and a neighbor to come help DH put ours together...we gave them all the beer they could drink as payment! LOL It took them about 8 hours, but that was 3 men combined. My DH had also spend the evening before laying out ALL the screws, nuts, bolts, tools, wood pieces, etc. in order of use so they would be very easy to find, and I think that also definitely saved them some time.

We have one too, it is about 2or 3 years old. It shakes a little but I think it just needs the bolts tightened. It is a lot of fun for DS and the DDs. It Took DH and my dad at least 30 hours over several weekends. DH says if we move it will come with us of course. I don't want to be involved with that.

We have one. The wood is a little lightweight, so dh reinforced it with extra lumber for stability/safety.

Just be sure to put some weatherproofing stain on it the first year or so. Then regularly check the bolts and screws and coat it again at least on an annual basis. You will be glad you did.

We bought a wooden play structure from Academy about a month ago. It's from Adventure Playsets (I think). It took a long weekend to set it up, just my husband and myself (on some parts.) He said it wasn't difficult, just time consuming. We are very happy with the way it looks and the durability. The kids will be able to use it for a long time. I agree with pp, put some weatherproofing on it. Have fun.

Rainbow does make them. If I'm thinking of the correct set...Rainbow has a few sets that are purchased by Sams, Costco and a few other places. The sets are GREAT quality, they'll last a long time! They'll probably outlast the kid growing out of them!
