Nine of us are leaving Thursday (Thanksgiving day - arriving Friday) for five blissful days at Universal, staying at the RPR. In addition to the usual stuff, we are attending Harbor Nights at Portofino on Friday the 25th, going to Blue Man Group on Sunday, and are renting a cabana at the Royal Pacific pool on Saturday the 26th. My trusty Coolpix camera is going with me (just don’t want to haul the bigger SLR camera this trip) so I hope to report back on our experiences via a mini trip report. Really anxious to try out a key lime shake at the Chocolate Emporium – that looks soooooo good!

Thanks to all for your tips over the past years. I don’t know if you realize what a service you provide the occasional traveler like me just from the day to day conversations and observations you provide. That is so helpful when planning a trip.

I feel like a kid again (and I turn 65 this June) from the excitement, since we haven’t been there since 2012. So many new things to experience as well as old “friends” to visit. We have one “never been” in our party – can’t wait to see her reaction to the marvels that await there. She has no idea what is in store!

So keep those tips, observations, and helpful hints coming – they are so helpful to those of us that can’t make it back every year.

You're 64....

Still a kid!

Have a great time at the darkside and do not forget a Lards lad pink donut

That Beatle's song "When I'm 64" keeps going through my head this year. The part about "losing my hair" did come true...but as I tell people, I had it when I needed it.

And yes, Lard Lad is on the radar, and I want to find out for myself if the Krusty Burger is as good or bad as I've read.

I favor the ribwich sandwich or the chicken waffle with extra sauce on it

Those two I get a couple of times during my stay there

Clog burger I have not tried so you'll have to let me know how that one is when you have it

Aww......hope you have the best time in this trip.......

Look forward to hearing what a marvellous time you all have when you get back.......:thumbsup2
