I'm so excited, I did a happy dance. I was waiting to book my airfare to see if the price would come down. When I first started looking at it was close to $300 but has been steadily coming down. Last week when I checked it and it was down to $117 (with taxes). I booked our flights tonight for the $117 each!!! :cool1: :yay: So now there is no canceling. No backing out. I'm going to Florida!!! :) Its such a good feeling to have it finally booked. :woohoo:

When are you travelling and how long did you wait for the price of airfare to go down?

We have a trip planned in Feb from PHL to MCO, but airfare (nonstop) is about 400 p/p for our dates. I'm hoping to get it around 200, but I'm just not sure how long I should wait

Did you check Air Tran? I just booked them for May. Non-stop flights, $99 one way, from PHL. Also, since you are going in Feb, have you checked Southwest? I've seen DING! fares out for December, so maybe February is close now. But at least you can book a regular SW fare?

Good luck!!

We are going from Detroit Metro to MCO nonstop on Northwest. The cost of one ticket from our local airport was more than both tickets from Detroit. Its a two hour drive, but its not too bad because we have family and friends in the Detroit area. I've been checking the price for probably 6-8 months now. This was the lowest that I've seen.

I hope you find a good fare for your trip. Keep checking and don't give up. :)

That is an EXCELLENT fair! We've been flying to WDW out of Metro on and off since 1999 (either on Spirit or NWA) and that's the cheapest I've ever seen it. I just finally booked our airfare for 2/14-2/21 last week during Spirit's $69 one way fair. Up until then it had been as high as $600 a person! It's never been that high in years past, highest I ever paid was $350 each and that was because we couldn't travel on weekdays. Good job and have a great trip! ~:)~

When are u flying we are flying in April and were going to go PHL to mCO but we got cheap flights out of ACY which is closer for us! But my in laws are flying out of PHL over Easter and right now it's up around $500 something round trip! We booked our flights at $99 each way! Not bad flying our April 3rd and returning April 11th! Spirit has been having some awesome sales this year! We did fly Southwest last year from PHL to Mco and recieved our flights at $59 each way it was a steal! But I have a feeling I would never see that cheap over easter so I booked at $99. It works for me I'm happoy it's booked!
