WOO HOO!! Alaska, Here we come! 8/25/2014

We transferred our ressie to this cruise a long time ago and I held off on planning anything to wait and see if it would still work out. So far we are still planning on this fabulous cruise! I booked an 11c cat, mulling over switching to a balcony hard to double the price of the cruise hmmmmm. Looking forward to planning along with everybody! Just starting to research Seattle, Vancouver, cruise, excursions etc

We are Jessica (33) and Adam (33) next October will be our 10 year wedding anniversary so this will be our big trip to celebrate., we wanted to try some where we have never been before. We have cruised on 4 night bahama wonder and 7 night fantasy last december western Caribbean along with about 10 trips to disneyworld and disneyland paris as well.

Hi All :wave2:

Just booked our honeymoon cruise to Alaska! This is our first Disney cruise, although I'm an avid podcast listener so have a pretty good idea of what to expect :thumbsup2

We've booked one of the "secret" porthole / verandah rooms - room 66something - we originally weren't going to book a verandah but as there's so much scenery I think it'll be worth it.

Not sure what excursions we'll do yet - definitely the Yukon train! Oh and Palo brunch! And a visit to the spa! Look forward to seeing what others book.

As we're coming over from the UK we'll probably spend 2 weeks on the west coast but not decided where to spend the rest of our time. Would definitely like a couple of days in Vancouver, then maybe head down to Seattle.

Super! I was hoping someone else would want to do FE! We went on our first cruise last year on the Disney Magic. Soooooo much fun! And we did the FE. My daughter looked forward to finding little "goodies" every time we went to the room. We'll be signing up! :yay:

And thanks for getting it started! :cheer2:
Thanks for your efforts we the FE. We love to participate on longer cruises. My daughter teacher just found out her school district had moved the back to school start date up a week so we will have to rebook this cruise for earlier in August. I took our names off the FE list. Happy Sailing to all

So sad to report that we will no longer be going on this cruise :worried: On the bright side, we have to cancel to attend my brother's wedding in Tokyo :) Now I've got to start planning a couple days at Tokyo Disney :cool1:

Howdy Everyone! We just booked this cruise instead of the Sept 1 cruise, and are excited as all get out to be joining. We will love to participate in the FE.

Is there a Facebook Group created yet? If not, I wouldn't mind making one up...

It's going to be myself, my DH, DS(10) and DD(9).

Just booked our flight to Vancouver, because it went down $1000 from last night! It's Air Canada from Philly. Now just waiting for a decent price for the Pan Pacific.

Pan Pacific question - has anyone booked this yet? They have an Alaska Cruise option that is $29 more for a city view room and includes:

- Breakfast for 2 adults
- Luggage Transfer to the Cruise Ship
- Extended Late Check Out till 2pm
- Complimentary internet

Just wondering if anyone booked this or just the room.

Thanks!

Please forgive me if the acronyms are slightly off but here we go.

2 11B rooms in the Deck 5 aft section (6600s) for Me (33), DW, DS (4), SiL, her boyfriend, his DD (6) and DD (17).

I also live in Vancouver, so if you have any questions about stuff to do locally, ask away.

We just talked the wife's folks into coming with us. We are super excited to start sharing ideas, chit chatting away, and counting down the days till the cruise. :thumbsup2

Question though... We've attempted to join the Facebook page for this cruise... is anyone actually running it? Are there plans of making multiple groups of he FE in case the numbers get to high? :confused3

Last cruise, the Facebook page was super busy with chit chat for almost a year heading into the cruise... We all got to know each other pretty good before the cruise, and made it like we had friends everywhere on the ship. Is anyone up for this idea? Or just the FE and that's it?

Again, I'd love to help, so we can start exchanging ideas, helping the new cruisers like I was, and just get to know each other... anyone up for that? :surfweb:

I won't be cruising this particular week because of a schedule conflict, but thankfully we were able to bump it up a week with no problem. So we are now cruising Sept. 1. I hope this week is amazing for all of you!!

No idea, I tried to join a week ago and still haven't been approved. But it is possible the mod for the FB group is just away for holidays or something.

Looks like the person was busy... Which happens. Hopefully you got approved as we were approved yesterday. Can't wait to get to know everyone.

What is the Facebook Group name? I would love to have an active group with people who are as excited about this cruise as we are!

:yay:

Here you go!

Hey guys!! We just returned yesterday from Alaska and rebooked again for next year. This will mean we've done Alaska with Disney three years in a row!! LOL :) It must be good, right?

This trip will be our 6th Disney Cruise.. the first one cruising Gold, yahoo!

I went ahead and started a facebook group and a signup sheet for the FE Exchange group.

The facebook group is here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/375041592628435/

The FE Signup sheet is here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Au6ZjSAKNCdBdHNGaUJaUGRBaXZYZ3pxOWUwS3lFMFE&usp=sharing

Can't wait to start getting to know you all! I know we will have some influx of folks coming and going, since we are a year away. But it will still be fun to chat in the mean time. :)

I just booked The Hyatt Regency Downtown Vancouver on Sunday 8/24 through Priceline for $126!! It's listed under their Express Deals as a 4 star Downtown. The normal rate is $230+ everywhere else. The hotel is in a great location, not too far from the pier and has great reviews.

:-)

We just booked the August 25th Alaska Disney Cruise! My DH and I will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary and decided to bring our youngest two with us - DD (13) and DS (10)

Welcome aboard! I'm sure you're going to love it! There's also a Facebook page you could join too for this cruise. Congrats on your anniversary too!! Feel free to ask questions. These boards can be a huge help!

I just moved my Aug 18 cruise out to August 25, due to family wedding.
We will be me- Mary Ellen, DH Jay
DD Kayleigh 17, DS Kevin 14. Hope there are some teens for the kids to hang out with. We plan on coming in on Sat Aug 23 or Fri 22. Depending on when we can get better airfare. Coming from NY/NJ/PA area. Hoping for the fares to fall although I am not holding my breath. Then need to find reasonable hotel in Vancouver.
Will look for the Facebook page
Mary Ellen

We are celebrating our 50th anniversary on the cruise. It is actually in April, but we couldn't schedule an earlier cruise. Our older son, his wife, and our granddaughter will be on the cruise also. We are really excited about this Alaska trip. We'll fly to Vancouver on Thursday before the cruise for some fun there. We haven't booked airlines and hotels yet, but that's just around the corner.
