I have a DVC reservation (rented points), starting on 12/17/09. My 90 day mark is this Friday 9/18. Today I went into the dining area online and tried to retrive my room reservation using my 12 digit vacation confirmation number, I keep getting a message that says it can't find my reservation.

So i called Disney Dining and the CM confirmed my confirmation number and said that maybe my reservation couldn't be pulled up because today was before 90 days. I didn't want to argue with her based on what I've read here on the boards, but I am not comfortable crossing my fingers and hoping that the website recognizes my confirmation number on Friday morning at 3am!

Can anyone here give me advice as to what to do next or what might be wrong? Is it because it's a DVC reservation that I won't be able to see it until exactly 90 days? I can't believe that is the case but I can't figure out any other explanation. I've tried it on two different computers as well.

I'm really nervous b/c I'm responsible for making the reservations for my entire extended family, which includes CRT breakfast, Ohana Breakfast, and at least one California Grill dinner :scared1:

I don't see the advantage of booking dining on-line. The software is slow and awkward to use. I would call wdw-dine and not worry about on-line access.

The dining reservation online system is not going to recognize you prior to your 90 days. If it did, you could book early.

I have not had any problems with mine lately. However as stated you can always call Disney dining.

Actually, FYI, it does recognize the reservation >90 days before, it just doesn't let you make use of the 90+10 bonus or link any ADRs into your reservation.

I did mine for early December over Labor Day weekend. It did recognize my reservation # ahead of time but it did not give me advance days. Only when I hit the 90 days did it give me the extra days. I went to the first restaurant I wanted and retrieved it there. It then held it for the rest of my choices.

I made mine right at the 90 day mark and had no trouble getting my confirmation number recognized.

If you are still having a problem go to the member web site and copy and paste your ressie number into the box at dining where it is asking for it. It worked for me, I don't know why. Good luck and post back.

This is what I am trying to do....

I am not a DVC member, so I cannot go to the member services site. I rented points from a member.

Also - someone asked if I tried the name of the DVC renter. I tried my name and every misspelling of my name I could come up with and I tried every name in my party, as well as the DVC owner's. just fyi....

Well I just tried and found out I needed to add our last name, confirmation number and resort. Until I put all three items I kept receiving a notice stating there was no record of my reservation (starting March 1, 2010). However, we noticed on the letter received from MS that the letter was addressed to me but showed my DH had a reservation. If we had different last names, I'm not sure what name to use. Did you receive a copy of the confirmation letter from MS? I would think the member would have provided you with this paper. If not I'd call and ask him/her for a copy. You might have to wait until your 90 mark and then call WDW dining.

I'm having the same trouble. You can check your reservation at MyDisneyReservation.com/DVC
I'm having trouble getting the Disney World site to retrieve my reservation to make sure it pulls it up to book dining. I'm really at a loss on what to do. It looks like I will have to call and book my ADR's. Anyone have any other suggestions or ideas on what we are doing wrong?

Mommy in wonderland - are u logged into the dvc member site at the same time as u logged into the dining retrieve your reservation link? I actually got in tonight - finally - and that's the only thing I can figure out the may have been different. Then my computer crashed! So I am going to try again in a bit.

Good luck and ill let you know if it works and vice versa please!

From what I understand the e error message has to do with either your browser/cookies or having a travel agent provided confirmation code. If you booked with a ta, try calling them to get the "correct code".

Btw, I tried again tonight and it worked again!

I logged onto my reservation and then tried pulling up the dining retrieve your reservation. Still gave me the e code. I also cleared my cookies. Am I not clearing cookies right? I just scanned my computer and deleted the potential threats. Is there a certain setting I should have my security software on? Just curious The first 2 nights I'm paying cash for a room. The next 4 nights I'm using rented DVC points. When I pull up my reservation with the cash paying room and I'm making ADR's will I be able to make them for the full length of stay? Hopefully then I wont have to worry about the dining not pulling up my DVC reservation. I've read different things on this topic. When you have a Disney reservation and you make ADR"s does it automatically give you the 90+10 option. Or do I have to get my cash room linked with my DVC reservation?

Mommy in Wonderland - what browser are you using? Internet Explorer? Safari? Firefox? I don't know much about Safari & firefox but for IE to clear your cookies, go to the top menu -> tools -> Internet Options -> General (tab) -> click the Delete button under browsing history, then choose delete cookies from the next pop up.

Did you book your cash rooms through DVC or Disney or a travel agent? Did you try putting in your cash room reservation on the http://mydisneyvacation.com/dvc site and then opening up the disney dining site and the retrieving your reservation during the Make a Reservation part? Even though your rooms are cash rooms, if you booked through DVC, maybe that will work??? If you booked through a TA, trying calling the TA and asking for the "other" confirmation number you might need. I have also heard that the "E" error message may have to do with using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer....

Also, you should be able to make your ADRs for 90 + 10 just using your cash reservation. I think.

Let me know if you "get in." Good luck!

Hi Figment 1990! I use IE. Thanks for telling me how to clear the cookies from it. I'll go try. Also I haven't booked the cash reservation yet. I'm doing that next Friday. It will be through the Disney website or I'll just call. My DVC is rented through a member. I just wanted to get the DVC part sorted out just in case the 90 +10 didn't work with my cash reservation since that will be for only 2 nights. But your saying when I'm at the 90 day mark for the cash ressie that it should give me the 90+10 even if my 2 reservations aren't linked? Let ya know if it works. I just need a little pixie Dustpixiedust:

Well...I didn't get on. I deleted the cookies and I pulled up my reservation on DVC then opened Dining and it didn't work. Also I tried copying and pasting. So you think I'll get the 90+10 with the 2 day cash ressie? Cross fingers. When I make the reservation I'll go in and try.:confused3

I think there are issues with "linking" the reservations - it just depends - again I read more than I remember - - call and ask a dining CM if they are linked - :confused3 but then again, you do get different answers...

I searched and found this:

help! we have 2 reservations--one as a paid, the other on DVC points. do i need to have these linked? if so, who should i call??

They won't link them. I already asked member services if they would link our split stay and was told "no." You should be able to do 90+ 10 on line though (unless you're staying at BLT). I have 4 different reservation nos and could still use 90+10 on line.

Sandy 321 Thanks! That sounds promising on the 90+10. Now I just have to make the cash ressie and test it out. Hopefully it will pull up the reservation and not do what it is doing to the DVC ressie.
