We just got back from a Mariner's baseball game.

Bottled Water $3.75

Small Soda $2.50

Bottled Beer $6.50

Clam Chowder Bread Bowl $7.00

Foot-Long Hotdog $5.50

But of course, the dog came with your choice of sides - ketchup, mustard, relish, onions or kraut! :rotfl:

Makes Disney's food prices seem like a bargain!

That was one thing that really surprised me about disneyWorld, food prices were not as bad as we expected.

DisneyLand Small bottle of water, is I think $4
Corndog $6

I noticed that the food prices at our local amusement park (Worlds of Fun) were much higher than Disney World, and the quality of food wasn't as good. The difference is we only had one meal there. When we go to WDW, we stay onsite and eat 2-3 meals a day on-property for 5-6 days.

I guess people always think it is high priced while there but once they go to something else then see it isn't as bad or just the same as other places. :cool1:

Oh yeah, I comment on that all the time. Disney World bottled water is $2.50 (or maybe $2). Go to the MBNA 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in October. Same bottle of water will cost $5. A small Dominoes pizza at AMS is, *gulp* - $24! We watched in amazement as a family of four went to their seats with four pizzas and four bottles of water. $116 for lunch. What's even more amazing is that you are allowed to bring in coolers and food and drinks at AMS.

Beer at an Atlanta Falcons game? $7. Now you know why we tailgate.

I always have an answer when people tell me Disney World is too expensive to visit.

I know what you mean! We went to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom in early August. DH stood in line for 15 minutes to buy 4 bottles of water and was told they were sold out at that stand. So had to wait another 10 minutes in a different stand line for $2.50 a bottle (allearsnet.com prices showing $1.25 and $2 prices at WDW). I was just surprised they didn't keep stock up on such a hot day!

For lunch, we split a six inch Subway club, bag of chips and medium drink - total was over $9.50.

DH and I kept saying how much cheaper Disney World prices were and how much friendlier the CMs are. Not to mention how much better the WDW parks are organized/maintained.

Yikes! Wow and I thought Chicago prices were bad. Wow, makes you appreciate the value and quality you get from WDW!

Don't think food and drink price's that bad at WDW. :goodvibes :wizard: :earsboy:

Worlds of Fun was the worst! We went last week after not having been for several years. We spent $70.00 (family of 4) in addition to tickets. $8.00 was for parking, maybe $5.00 went to the boys for arcade games. The rest was FOOD. No souveniers. And my husband was the only one who got an actual meal. Fries and a coke - about $6.00. Funnel cake and a drink - about 8.00. And horrible quality compared to WDW!

AMS must have observed Turner's famous $10 hotdogs.

I think disney's pricing is well in line with similar similar venues plus stadiums and special events. A Hotdog at Dollywood was $7.50 for a footlong.

We had a great trip in WDW and then had a delay in the Orlando airport for 9 hours. We were starving and decided to get some dinner......2 hamburgers, 2 chicken sandwiches and 4 fries (from Outback takeout) NO DRINKS. $48.00!!!! Oh my Goodness. We just sort of laughed how this food (which was pretty overcooked) cost much more than the great lunches we had in WDW)

I took the kids to the local Mom and Pop amusement park and a children's hot dog, fries and small drink combo was $5.95--I really don't think disney food prices are out of line with its contemporaies. I always laugh when people who buy snacks at the concession stand at the movies complain how expensive Disney food is!

I am headed to the US OPEN baby! :teeth:

World class tennis and New York City food prices!!!

Counter service WDW prices seem like a bargain in comparison. Hamburgers are in the $10-$12 range!

we've been to kentucky kingdom and really hated it, it seems to carnival feeling and the prices for food and drink were crazy!! disney for me!!

After visiting a few other parks, WDW prices aren't too bad. One of the best values is a Brownie Fudge Sundae at Mrs. Pott's Cubbard at MK! A huge brownie and loads of ice cream with fudge for only $3.49  ! Yummy!!

I love WDW and don't gripe about the food prices, but I take exception to some of the comparisons to some of the prices quoted here. Many of the more expensive items are coming from events where people usually stay for a few hours where a family might have one "meal". At WDW, most people are there for the entire day where one might have breakfast, lunch, and dinner(not to mention snacks). On top of that, many people stay anywhere from a few days to a week(or more). Again, I enjoy eating at WDW, but the calling it a bargain compared to a sporting event where you might spend 5 hours is not an apples to apples equation. :earsboy:
