Wonder's EBPC 9/12/14 Who's Going With Us!

Just lurking right now. We have done WBPC and are considering this EBPC, but not ready to commit. Had to jump in and let you know that PV Outdoor Adventure is a blast,

this tour you will: •Journey south by speedboat across Banderas Bay to the secluded shores of Boca de Tomatlan, at the edge of the jungle. Note: Guests must be physically fit to participate. For safety reasons, expectant mothers, Guests with heart and respiratory conditions, and those with back/neck injuries cannot participate.
•Once there, prepare for an exhilarating all-terrain vehicle ride as you board a 4x4 Unimog and take off on an exciting off-road expedition to your base camp, 2,000 feet above sea level in the heart of the Sierra Madre jungle.
•After your hour-long drive, receive your equipment and take in a safety demonstration before taking off on a mule ride as you continue your trek up the mountain into the sub-tropical forest.
•Following your approximate 30-minute ride to the top of the mountain, gear up and hold on tight as you are whisked away from canyon side to canyon side — above the treetops — via a zip line network of pulleys mounted at a height of up to 250 feet above the ground.
•Following your high-flying expedition, hike along a jungle path before rappelling down a refreshing waterfall. Set in the jungle for the rest of the adventure, splashing down 2 new waterslides to add even more excitement to your already full and thrilling day. Complete your adventure by splashing through streams and natural river pools before arriving back to base camp.
•Enjoy a beverage and light snack before beginning your approximate 60-minute journey — by Unimog and speedboat — back to the ship.

Best excursion ever!!!

I looked a bit last night, seems like there are some very interesting adventures, but some ports we are not stopping for very long, IIRC one port I want to say we arrive 11am and leave 4:30 and it's a tendering port (only one), another port we stop almost as short. Might be because it's really days yet but in some ports there wasn't big selection of adventures.

I was looking around as well, and was thinking the same thing. We are in PV for only 5 hours, and they say that it is a 5 1/2 to 6 hour excursion. Is that just a rough estimate? It looks like it's an hour each way just to get there, before you even do anything. I wouldn't want to be cutting it that close to getting back to the ship to disembark.

With only four ports we are stopping at, there are going to be some tough choices to make.

I too was just looking at our choices. Seems like so much to do and see, and so little time to do and see it all!!! I saw that too Davetut019 for PV. If Disney keeps this as one of our options, and we booked thru Disney, they would have to hold the ship for us to get back on board.

Our port time was approximately the same. You leave straight from the port area. You just walk off the ship and basically onto the boat. When you come back you come back to the same spot so you never go out of the immediate port area. Maybe a two minute walk to get back on the ship. The time for the excursion is approximate. After the adventure you can look at the pictures the photogragher took, decide if you want to buy the cd, get some souveniers, buy some food and drink, if you want. They know exactly when to get you back to the ship and time will be deducted from the relaxing time and not from the excursion itself.

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! I hope that everyone is doing well and are planning a fun weekend :woohoo:. If there is still room for the group brunch at Palo Bob and I would love to join you. It sounds like this is going to be a really fun cruise:banana:.

I ment to ask. We booked connecting rooms this time so we can split the kids but not both sets of adults have to pack it in early. Has anyone had these before?:charac4:Was it worth it?

The benefit of booking excursions through Disney (especially the really long ones) is that they will NOT leave until all their excursions have come back. You do a private excursion and don't make it back for all aboard you might get to see the ship sail from the shore side instead of ship side.

But PV for only 5hrs and 5.5-6hr excursion sure don't sound right tho...

We did the exact same thing, we haven't done that before. But the kids starts to get up there in age so be nice to have our own room and they theirs. We did book a cruise for Jan 2014 where they have their own room (well officially DW and me sleep in different rooms with 1 kid each... lol.. but the guy that booked it said but of course we know how it will be in reality and laughed...)

Should be great, should be able to tell for sure how it works out in Jan next year ;)

They don't always hold he ship. They just make sure you catch back up with the ship. On our last Alaska cruise a group got left behind. They were out ona glacier and the weather got real bad. They joined the ship again like to ports later.

I just wanted to wish everyone a very HAPPY EASTER!!! I hope all of you have a happy and safe holiday. :thumbsup2 And I hope the Easter Bunny was good to ya'll!!!

If you are interested in participating, please fill out your info on this form -

And davidls - don't know if you might want to put a link to this on the first post - thanks!

Just signed up! It should be lots of fun.

I am thinking we should maybe try for a date fairly early in the cruise so that we'll get to know each other sooner and that way when we see each other around on the ship, we can say hiya!

That sounds like a great plan. We are looking forward to meeting and making new friends. :)

OK, I know this is WAY early to probably ask, but want your opinions on this -

We're already up to 13 cabins in the FE and this cruise is ~18 mos away.

Question 1: If we get to (insert number here) I would like to split the group into two or more FE groups - and if not, tell me that too!

Question 2: The cut-off date for this FE signup should be (insert date here)

Just because I volunteered to do the FE list - I don't want to make anyone feel like I am dictating to them on anything.....if you have ANY comments, questions, suggestions, please feel free to post them!

Thanks!

Us to as we'll never see the kids - :scratchin - we never do on a cruise........and esp this one as my Mom and Dad are coming and they LOVE to spend time with them (more than us, but that's the way it should be!)

We would love to join all of you for the brunch, but unless it is the 6th morning we can't. We are up for supper on the with night with all the adults in our party. And back alone for brunch the following morning.
:hug::love::cool1:

My daughter had a thought about FE. She said why not wait and see how many. Then decide to split. (She thinks in half.) princess:

I've been debating signing up for the FE but I'm not sure I would be super interested in doing it if the group got huge. So if the opinion of a person who is not even part of the group matters at all then I vote for splitting if it get too big.

I agree, I think if the FE group gets to big we need to split it into 2 or 3 or whatever groups. On our last cruise last December we had something like 75 cabins. Everyone wanted to keep each individual group to no more then 25. So we had 3 FE groups. And it was up to each individual cabin if they wanted to give to just their group or 2 groups or all 3, that was up to you. As far as the cutoff date, I can't remember if it was 6 or 8 weeks from the sail date. Would that give you, Beverly, enough time to get the final FE list in order and sent out to all of those participating in the FE? This is just a suggestion, what does everyone think?

Hi Everyone,

We have never done a FE before and looking forward to doing it on this cruise. I think I agree with David about keeping it to about 25. Seventy-five cabins seems a little overwhelming, but I will go along with what the majority would like.
Hope you all have a great week.
