Wondering if no one likes the food changes

I'm starting to question liking certain foods that I tried on my last trip. Just read a thread about the fish 'n chips being different than a few years ago and a few weeks ago I found out school used to be different too. The problem (well, I guess it really isn't a problem) is that I tried both of these things last March (Finally!!) and like them both. :lmao: Anyone else find that they liked something after not trying it for a long time, just to find out it was different and better before?

No, but I am not going to tell my husband that the fish and chips supposedly tastes different based on a few people's opinions. If I do that, he's going to go into the next meal thinking "they changed this" and his perception will rule what he's actually tasting. I'll allow him to get the meal and if HE decides it's different and he doesn't want it anymore, THEN we'll cross it off the list of things he likes.

If you like them it shouldn't make a difference to you that I liked them better 3 years ago.

In general you'll find that most people on here (or any internet board on any topic) think of "the good old days" with a very selective memory, and that today's version of xxx is nothing compared to what xxx was 5 years ago.

While it's good to inquire others opinions, in the end if you like it, thats all that matters.

Nala and Disney Dad make good points. I've only been going to WDW since 2009, so I have no "good old days" to compare to like so many people do. I know that I happen to love the fish and chips in England and I have yet to meet a Disney buffet I didn't like (except Chef Mickey's :)). So, I read what people say, take it with a grain of salt, and go to WDW and enjoy my meals that I purchase using DDP credits. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Exactly!

I have been 5 times in the less than 7 years with a 6th trip in 3 days. I may have a few places I don't really like. I have many places I do like. I have read the anti-dining plan posts on here for a few years. I have read a lot of "food has gone downhill" posts on here.

Do I care? Not really ;) If you like something OP, then I think you should trust your judgment on that :)

I think some of the critiques on here can be harsh. As long as they don't thread poop on people starting threads discussing how much a poster likes something, I really don't change my opinion.

All that said..... trust your taste buds :thumbsup2

First of all, I like the Fish and Chips from England and I have liked them since 2002. If I did not read here that they have changed, I would never have known. I find it hard to believe that someone could have fish and chips in 2008 and then, taste them again 2010 and notice a change in the batter. Come on, really? If it's a huge change than yes, but a small change in batter? I can't remember exactly what the dinner I had last week tasted like. ;)

If you like the item or items you are eating at WDW, that's all that matters. I don't feel cheated in anyway that items have changed.

:rotfl: That is why I posted about this. I was starting to question my taste buds because I really liked both the school bread and the fish and chips but have read so many post since then fussing about changes. I thought, WOW! the food must have been really good before. It was more or less a tongue in cheek post.
