Wondering if changes to the DVC site allow ...

So I have read through the previous threads on the new changes to the DVC site. It sounds promising that we are able to select a new reservation/different resort at the 7 month mark and it will hold the new reservation while it allows you to release the previous reservation freeing up points. Please correct me if I am wrong!

My question is will it allow you to change only a portion of your trip to another resort thus creating a split stay? or is it all or nothing?

I don't know and I fought too hard for my dates to even consider playing around with it at this point....lol

But I would love to know the answer for future reference myself.
