Wondering about timing...

I was pondering my November 30th park day, and knowing that MK closes at 4:30 I realized we could probably do some "extra" stuff and put the park-hopper to use.
Since this is our first trip - I'm just not sure the timing will work.

MK closes, 4:30
ADR - Ohana, 5:55p.m.
Park hop to HS to see jingle bell, jingle bam, (touring plan says 8:00 p.m. show)

Will we have time to make it to HS from Ohana in time to see this?
(as I have no clue how long it will take for us to be seated, eat, etc... at Ohana and I really don't want to rush it either)

We are at HS the next day (Dec.1) but we have a fantasmic dining package and I don't think we would make both.

Expect Ohana to take at least an hour. Get there as early as they will let you check in (typically 15-20 minutes). Maybe you'll get seated early. Like you said, you don't want to rush out of the great meal at Ohana.

If you get out of Ohana by 7pm, you might be able to make it. Consider using Uber or Miinnie Vans (if you can use it to go between Poly and HS) instead of buses. It will be tight. If you are driving, then getting parked and all of that could make it even tighter.

If timing doesn't pan out, one alternative might be to go to Epcot instead and view illuminations. Those start at 9:30pm. Plus it's an easier hop on the monorail.

One warning, Ohana runs PAINFULLY behind a lot. I'd plan on being seated after your reservation time. It's a bonus if you get seated on time, but just be prepared if you don't. Uber/taxi is likely a must. Good luck!

Yeah someone said an hour for dinner it might take that long to get seated. You never know. You'll probably just have to play it by ear. I'll be in HS that day but I'm doing Fantasmic.

Also, hopefully the Minnie Van situation improves. There was a thread on here about a week ago saying that someone tried to get a MV and they got nothing. No drivers in the area, no answer from the phone number a CM at the desk gave them. So the MV service was a bust for them that night. Keep in mind that this program is just getting off the ground and isn't "fully" available yet.

Another vote for "Ohana runs chronically late." It's always been a long dinner for us, too - WELL over an hour. I wouldn't count on JBJB at 8 - although if you happen to be done with dinner on time you could certainly give it a shot.
