Just wondering if these two are holding up OK, esp. Feralpeg since they just moved down to Florida....if you two read this later on or tomorrow, we're thinking about you and hoping all is well.

didnt steph and pandy both say htey were working storm team at wdw? i know they were both there this am, and i thought i understood it would be straight through over the duration till it was all over with? jhavent seen feralpeg on today, and i managed to keep the dis in the back ground all day

Ferlapeg just checked in on Tony's thread...She and her DD are OK!::yes:: She did report that WDW seems ok, but that Universal and SeaWorld were in for a more direct hit...

Glad to hear Feralpeg is OK, now let's hope we hear from both Steph and Pandy and make sure they made it. And of course, we need to know that Miss Maddy is OK too.

I know Pandy is at work all day she headed out about 5am..and expected to work until 8pm tonight...so we might not hear from her for a while...

I'm here! We made it okay. No damage to the new house! YES! Thanks for worrying about us!

Funny, but you were the first person I thought of - being new to the area and all. I think you've passed your "initiation".:p

I guess we passed, but we were so lucky compared to others. I'm so happy that we came through so well, but so sad for those whose homes were damaged. When we were considering our move to Florida, we thought about living on the coast. We decided against it because of the hurricanes. I just don't think I could go through that and wait for it to happen again. Yes, Orlando go hit hard, but nothing like the coast.

Even though Charley was a terrible thing, I still love living in Florida!

Glad to hear you're ok!

We're just getting some light rain and wind now (NJ).

Checking in... :wave2:

I'm dead on my feet....spent the day yesterday preparing Harambe Village and Safari trucks for the storm..and spent today putting back the pieces. Messy out there, lots and lots of trees down and debris all over but the crews are working hard to get everything cleaned up. ::yes::
We did what we could then the rest is up to the big crews...we were all sent out to work at the resorts this afternoon....I worked at Saratoga Springs until 8:30pm

I haven't a clue when the park, and Safaris especially, will be open again but we're doing our best to get going asap. The Safari covers a big area of course, with lots to clear out in order to fit our vehicles safely through again...and of course having the area safe for the animals is a concern as well.
I'm hoping we'll be back behind the wheels again sometime tomorrow, but at this point I haven't a clue. I'll be headed back out there for 7am, crossing fingers.
