Just back, and had a wonderful time before and after our 7-day western cruise at BCV and VB.
We had a studio at BCV and a garden view (with a partial ocean view) inn room at VB - both rooms were great; both were available when we checked in (a nice unexpected surprise).
I gotta admit, BCV has a great location, and the aspect of StormAlong Bay is really nice (not to mention that the slide was open ahead of schedule!!!!). The only drawback (and I'm almost afraid to call it a drawback) is that we were at the very end of the resort, and so the walk to the room from the main building was quite long - once we moved the car to the nearby parking lot though, all problems were solved. It was funny as walking down the hallways there were corridors that reminding me of Steven King's - The Shining....... dodododo....
Anyway, both rooms were great. Minor problem at VB as we originally got a room that was under repair (wasn't removed from the system); a short trip back to the front desk cured that though.
We could have asked for slightly better weather at VB, but, it was still nice, and for some downtime after the cruise, it wasn't that major of a problem.
CM's were always great and friendly. Shutters was overpriced and only ok food (breakfast was good - dinner was a disappointment - we've had much better dinners previously and I think we really need to branch out to some of the places nearby when we go back in October).
All in all, a really great before and after cruise experience!
