'Wonder'ful Ship of Fools-We're Crusin' in April(15-22)

Hi all,
for those who want to participate in the Fish Extenders, please send me a list of all those in your family (first names, ages for kids, genders) who want to participate and room numbers if you have them!
I want to make a comprehensive list so no one is left out that wants to participate!
I think we should have a cut off for adding more people of 3 weeks before the trip, which would be March 25. Any thoughts???
Thanks!!
Kathy
:woohoo:

I Got my Fish Extender Fabric today!!! Now I just need to figure out how to make it:)
I picked up a few things from Party City today that were on sale ... i actually found something for a 16 yr. old:) and I think there are currently 5 adult women right? Cause I found something cute for us as well:)
I think so far if it's one gift each time ... i'm at one gift every other night (at least for the boys:) don't know what to do for the dads though.
My girls are into pin trading but have only a few that they want to trade right now ... and purchasing on ebay always seems dicy and going through disney is expensive, but I think they each have a least two to trade.

Agree to the cut off date :)
There are 4 of us in our room (Peggy (me), Brian, Caitlyn (10) and Alexis (7) only one guy in our group:)
Room 1074 is our R#
Welcome Sophia :)

Do you all want to participate in the Fish Extenders (including the adults)?
Thanks!

OK I think I am caught up :)

Let us know if you are interested in participating in the Fish Extenders with several of us QUOTE]

We did the FE on our last cruise and loved it. I don't think MIL and FIL will want to participate but let me check with everyone and get back to you. I agree with the deadline - impossible to plan otherwise!

A number of people seem to be doing the dolphin swim in Cabo - we are doing that on the second day as well. Nothing planned for the first day yet. In PV we are doing the Las Caletas getaway.

What dinner seatings do people have. We have second seating (all that was left when I booked). We had that for Alaska as well and it seemed to work so fingers crossed the kids will like it again.

My 10 year old turns 11 in March so will be in the Edge. Has anyone got any experience of that. What should he expect with that? Is it all about hanging out and staying up late (not sure he will be into that - he needs his sleep). Any insight would be welcome. :confused3

Very excited about this cruise

Sophia

My 10 daughter will also be doing Edge if they allow (her birthday is in July) :goodvibes
Our seating is also the late night seating which works out since our kids don't usually eat until 7:30-8 anywaypopcorn::
If you and your family and any of the kids in other room do want to participate you can always just designate one room as a drop zone:goodvibes

Thanks Kathy for continuing to keep track of everyone:) I found something for the guys (may have to go back for more now that we have more people) :thumbsup2

Welcome to the group Sophia! It is so close to cruise time! We can't wait!

Kathy,
For the FE's, I have Brittani, Girl, 16, and Evan, Boy, 9. They will be in different rooms though!
My mother is Janet (leisjan on the board) She would kill me if I put her age, so we'll just say she is Grandma, and will be in the room with Brittani, and I am Sandi, the mother of Evan, and I will have just turned 31...

You had mentioned candy above, and I have had to postpone a msg to that, but Evan's test results from Fri just came back and he doesn't have diabeties so while on the cruise he will have a normal diet!! :yay: So I'm fine with Candy in the FEs as well!

Hi!!!

I'm Tanisha, and DHs name is Robert and we will be on the Disney Wonder April 15th with our two sons Sean (5yrs) and Liam (9mos at the time of the saliling).

We are SOO excitied. I used to work for another cruise line years ago, so it is not my first cruise, but it is our first Disney Cruise and the first as a family!!

Looking forward to chatting with everyone!:goodvibes

Hello Everyone,
I'm Tanisha's Robert, she's my D&VLW:love:. Yes we are very excited to be joining you all on this cruise, and our 5 year old is super excited:banana:. This FE sounds fun can't wait, so yes again we would love to participate:thumbsup2. I saw some of you may go to Disneyland on sat, we are going to Goofy's kitchen sat evening (it's Sean's favorite:woohoo:) then we'll be seeing you all sunday onboard. Hope were not to late for the FE, please let us know.

We had second seating last time and will again this time... I actually prefer it since it is easier to get to on days in port and it's easier to wind down after dinner.

My older one was in Edge last time and will be again... they come and go as they please and do have activities that go until late at night, but he really enjoyed the independence and had a great time. It's totally up to you how you manage your kids though and what you're comfortable with. But, I do have to say that I didn't see him very much and I was concerned about him getting enough sleep, but it was his vacation too. This time I will have stricter rules about joining us for dinner etc.

My younger one is 10 and not turning 11 until Sept. so he will have to stay in the Oceaneer's club/lab and is looking for other kids to meet before the cruise who are around his age and in the same club as he is. Last time I gave him in and out privileges because there were so many younger kids in the club that I felt he needed some independence to have a good time. The great thing about the ship is that they can't go off of it!

I'm very happy you got negative test results back for your son! That's something to celebrate!!!!!
:cheer2:

Welcome to the group Sophia! It is so close to cruise time! We can't wait!

:yay:I am also HAPPY to Hear About Evan's results.
We seem to be adding more people by the day:) Need to go get more supplies :teacher: for FE's

Thanks all! I'm very excited also. They thought that he might have become a diabetic as a result of his other health issues that we've had since Nov. I've been smiling so much the last few days for the awesome news!

Tanisha & Robert. Welcome aboard! I can not wait to go on this cruise, as it is our 1st cruise! My family has been debating on going to Disneyland on Sat or just doing downtown Disney. ( I vote Disney as I love the Peterpan ride!) Let me talk to everyone, and maybe we can meet at Goofy's Kitchen as all of my family loves that also! Though my kids are older, my son seems to entertain kids of all ages, as he is the class clown! He loves to see people laugh!

We are also on the 2nd seating for Dinner! 5pm hour is too early for dinner for us!

We are SOOOO excited!:) I am planning the FE gifts as we speak. Not sure if DH mentioned it, but we also have 2nd seating for dinner.

cannot. wait!

Thanx for the welcome,
will be fun to meet at goofy's, Glad to hear Evan's test came back well. so I guess we pass on a head count for FE, ours is Mom & Dad (:bride:pirate:two adults) Sean (:yay:boy five) and Liam (:)son 9 mos). :confused3Question? Do we leave gifts each day? or once during the trip? unsure about that part but sounds fun:thumbsup2.

Hello and welcome to the group.. I am grandma Janet. I am very excited to be going on this trip. I love everything Disney! As a Grandmother to 9 and in Sept 10 This is pretty special to do with my oldest Grandaughter Brittani who will be 16 this coming week and the trip is her birthday present and she is so excited. She says she does not care about the teen club but cannot wait for the endless food she will receive on the ship.

Evan is going to be feeling good for the first time in many months I hope so we will all pay for that.

We are planning on a few fe's from us. we have two staterooms and will each be doing a couple nights of gifts. If the group gets too big we may cut back a bit but as of now we have enough for a few nights of goodies for all the kids.
however each person should do what they can and make it an enjoyable trip not something to stress over. My kids would be happy with one gift.

When we get a couple more families we can decide what color ribbons we want to put on our luggage so maybe we can spot each other on the dock before boarding.

Our boarding time is 11 to 11:30AM.
Looking forward to meeting all.:dance3::dance3::dance3:

Hi everybody,
Just dropping in to say the family are soooooo excited!!!! Can't wait for the magic to start:wizard:

Welcome! Would you like to participate in the Fish Extenders program? If so, I'll need names with the kid's ages and the cabin numbers of everyone who would like to participate (we have several adults participating as well!).
If you need info on the program, check out wikipedia... basically it's like Christmas stockings next to the cabin doors!
Looking forward to the cruise!!!!

Hello,

We booked this cruise last minute a couple of weeks ago. We have 3 cabins and 10 people in all. It is me (Sophia), DH (Rich) and our 3 kids; my brother-in-law, sister-in-law and their daughter; and my father-in-law and mother-in-law (good thing I get along with my in-laws :))

This will be the first Disney cruise for my in-laws. We did the Alaska cruise last August and fell in love with DCL. BIL & SIL live in CA so this is perfect for them. We are in MA and FIL/MIL are in FL so this is a bit of a family reunion!

So what have I missed. :surfweb:

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Sophia

Ok, here is what I have so far... please let me know if you want to participate and don't see your name on here ASAP!!! Also, we will need cabin numbers.

I am open to doing it daily or every other day, depending on the size of the group. Those of us that are flying have to be aware of how much space we have in our luggage!

I think our cut off date for joining the Fish Extenders of three weeks or so prior is a good idea. I don't know about you all, but we have a lot of balls up in the air this spring and this vacation will be much needed!

If adults want to be included, their names are on the list. If they don't want to participate, let me know so I can take the names off!

So far...

SJLNV cabin # ____
DW Sandy
DS Evan age 9

LeisJan cabin # ______
Dgrandma Janet
Brittani age 16

Kathy,
We have an OGT. I contacted my travel Agent a few days ago, and she said we probably won't know until a few weeks before we sail. When we get the package in the mail! I do check the reservation daily. As soon as I have it I will post it!

Can't belive that we are down to 42 days!
