'Wonder'ful Ship of Fools-We're Crusin' in April(15-22)

My daughters are both going the week After Spring Break so they will be out of school for two weeks. I told their teachers and one is cool with it and one is not but we will be making sure both do some type of school realated project (whether a journal or math report of how far we travel a day or something)

Evan goes to a track school, and his last day of school will be March 16th. He is off until April 16th... The only bad thing about it is that the CRT's are 2 weeks following our trip! We just got his latest report card and he has missed 20 days already this year due to being in the hospital, and trips to UC Davis, but his teacher is totally fine with it, and the principal, said that she would have done the same thing! So it isn't the people at the school that care! Thank goodness! With this info I won't feel like a nasty parent when I hand my child a book, as it looks like others will be doing the same!

We have Spring Break that week so my kids are off school. DNiece is missing school (she is off the week before) but she is only in Kindergarten so not a big deal.:goodvibes

Hello Everybody,
Wow only about a month to go:thumbsup2. Really excited about the trip, and to meet you all, looks to be a great time :goodvibes. So as Tanisha said Monday works great for us with the FE and like she said Liam is easy just a simple noise maker and he is set, Sean loves to write letters and numbers so any small note pad works for him, oh and he LOVES  Tinker Bell so anything with her pic on it. Really anything from box to wrapper really anything, he has it for her bad. Also we may have gifts for another day, if so, would it be appropriate to just drop them in the doors on random nights? We have recieved some excellent advice from you all, I really like the book your next cruise while onboard, for a good discount, looks like our family will be Disney cruise regulars :cloud9:. Well see you all real soon.:grouphug:

Thanks for the tips on what your kids like!
I think dropping off stuff on other nights/days is fine... just as long as we get every day covered beyond that is just bonus as far as I'm concerned!
Yes, I have heard you can get a significant discount for booking your next cruise while on your current one... something to think about! Bring your calendars!!!
Really getting excited about meeting all of you and the vacation!!!!!!!
:yoda: :ewok::chewy:

35 days to go! We received our cruise documents today! Yipeee!! Also made my 1st trip to Michael's for our FE! I am sure I will return for more things.. Super...excited.....super....excited!!

Im pretty open when it comes to Disney characters, although I have a sweet spot for Tigger. :):cheer2:pixiedust:party:

Everyone is asking what we like. I am not sure what to reply.
My 16 year old likes Tinkerbell just like her Grandma and she also likes the princesses. She loves the color pink her room is pink and black. She is a cute well behaved young lady who is about to start driving. She loves socks, lipgloss, cute little trinkets very girlie items, hot cheetos, dr. pepper and candy. I think any of the items listed would be good for her. Sandi and I enjoy bath items, lotions, and my favorite would be Tink, Sandi says hers is Goofy. Evan our 9 year old likes Cars and almost anything that is annoying as most 9 years olds do. whoopie cushions etc. Sandi and I really do not need much this trip is more about the kids. Excitement is mounting in our house.
Looking forward to meeting all of you.:grouphug:pirate:

Just so that Everyone on this Thread knows this is my daughter Caitlyn:cheer2:
She can answer any questions about what she and her Dsister like:love:

Yup yup yup (I was on disboards before her XD)

I know as much disney as my mom (i did Walt Disney as my biography project and i think i learned 2 much)

i cant wait for this trip! :cool1: :ccat:

Well, my sister can be annoying sometimes, but then again, mostly all little siblings are :cutie:

I like cats, Especially the Cheshire cat, and my nickname is Cat (technically I'm a cat person  )
I love math ALOT :worship: and other stuff xD

Ummmm..... If you guys have anymore questions about me and my sister just ask ^^ i cant think of anything else

See you guys on the cruise!

:woohoo:

Hi Caitlyn!

My DS1 would sympathize - he is 10 (turns 11 next week) and has to put up with a 7 y/o brother and 5y/o sister. Oh and then throw in his 6 y/o cousin on this cruise and I think he will be hiding in the Edge:laughing:

Hi Everyone!

My kids and niece are pretty easygoing. They will love the excitement of finding stuff in the FE. The girls love the princesses and Immy has a soft spot for Stitch. The boys like anything pirate, Mickey and Stitch. But that is just their favorites - they like all the characters (well the boys aren't so into the princesses :rotfl2:) Oh and they love candy (well who doesn't :confused3)

Hope that helps. Cruise is getting close

Sorry it's been a while I had a very large test to take yesterday, and that has taken a lot of my time recently and well worth it as I did awesome on it!:cool1:

So it sounds like my mother, Janet, gave you a lot of our groups favs. I guess the only thing I would add is that Evan's fav color is purple. He also would not be into princess stuff. He is at the age where he is trying to discover what he likes the best. I'm a big advocate of educational items. I think that every moment is a chance to learn.

I have to say though, please don't stress about getting the right gift for the kids. I'm sure that all of the kids are going to be excited just to have somehting in thier fe. If you find something and it excites you and your child, I'm sure it will do the same with all of the families!

I've been thinking... If we skipped an hour every night until our cruise we could be going on the cruise so much sooner! HEHE! Hope you all remembered to spring forward(if you live in an area that does dst!)

Only 34 days to go! :hourglass

Has anyone beside Isisbluu received there travel documents yet?

Sjlnv I think those of us with OGT staterooms may receive our room assignments as early as end of the week. It is generally within 30 days so I imagine this week or the following week at the latest.

Room assignments would be nice. We haven't received anything yet. Now I'm bummed that I have to work Mon & Tues. I want to be checking my mailbox instead! Keep us posted all! If you hear anything let us all know!
Also, where is everyone from? And how are you getting to the boat? We are about 15mins north of Reno Nevada. We will be driving down to southern Cali on Thurs. I have a great Aunt that lives down there and we will spend a day with her and then head to Disney area for sat. Still trying to figure out if we will do Disneyland or goofys kitchen! We are staying at the best western by the port, and will be parking at the port!

I will be rushing to the mailbox when I get home from work (and I already stalk the website checking for room assignments). :surfweb:

We are about 20 minutes north of Boston, MA. We are flying in to LAX the night before, staying near the airport (we get in quite late) and then taking a shuttle to the port in the morning. Still debating what to do when get off the boat. We have a red eye back to Boston. Any ideas on what to do for the day? :confused3 I wish it was enough time for Disneyland but I don't think it is. What is Goofy's kitchen?
