'Wonder'ful Ship of Fools-We're Crusin' in April(15-22)

Caitlyn,
May I ask why you have to steal grandma's cat?? I don't know that Goofy or Pluto will like that... Or Mickey or Minnie for that matter! Remember we will be cruising with the MICE! HEHE!

Thanks Kathy, :thumbsup2
and Sandi MICE and you really want me to go. Bring on the cats!
Could make for an interesting trip with them chasing each other all over the ship.:confused3

What shall I pack today? any suggestions anyone?

Last time one of the first things I bought was a case of water. I'm sure it cost way more than it would have if I brought it from home, but I didn't have to lug it around, it was delivered to the cabin. I'm planning on doing it again, and midway through the cruise may even be buying a second case!
:drinking1

17 days til ou Cruise, and I'm going to pack water! Last thing I want is to be dehydrated!!! So I will be the one pulling a pilot case around the ship until our room is ready and it won't be lifted off the groung as it will have gallons of water in it! In the last year my drink of choice has changed a lot, and water is the new drink of choice. So I guess I will be carring on that extra 70lbs that I've lost... It will just be in the form of water weight! HEHE!

So tonight I divided up all of my FE Gifts and found that I have no idea how I would pack them :scared1: I am wondering if I should mail them down ahead of time? But I'd be afraid they wouldn't arrive or they would get lost ...

P.S. I did want to let kathy know that I think I will just stick with the first night round and not do a second one. But I think we are at what Five complete familys spread over 7 rooms?

16 days to our cruise, I'm packing a pretty awesome excuse my son's missed school letter! I'm going to have Mickey Mouse sign it! That way the staff will have a laugh and a souvenier.

I'm planning on packing our FE gifts in bookbags. I know that would make it worse for the plane ride. There are some neat things at home depot that are as seen on tv suitcase packing helpers. They say you can get 2 suitcases into one... We bought lots of them & you do NOT need the vacuum so it will work on the way back home also!

I'm going to try and remember to pack the boy's swimsuits in my handbag (I may use a zippered small tote) so they can go swimming while we are still waiting for out luggage to arrive at our stateroom (which can take hours). I think last time we held onto our carry on suit cases once we arrived at the dock but then we had to lug them around until we could get access to our room. This time I think I'll just put our carry on suit cases with our big checked suit case and have them deliver them all to the room and make our load lighter! That's what the luggage stickers in the cruise documents are for! I'm going to check out the packing helpers at Home Depot! Anything for more luggage space as long as it doesn't make my big bag over the weight maximum and I have to pay more! Reminder to self, bring cash for checking the bag both ways...

Not long to go now and I think I am getting there. Just need to finish up the FE gifts this weekend and print out some magnets. Then I can focus on packing. Also need to get some sandals for the kids - the one's from last year don't fit. I need to start cruising in the correct season. Last summer I was rushing around getting boots for the kids because we were going to Alaska. :sad2: Haircuts are also on the agenda this weekend - need to look good with all the photo ops that will be coming our way. :thumbsup2

What's everyone else got planned?

15 days left until we will be on the boat!!! My goodness!!!

So today I will pack pens and highlighters!

I can't believe we are down to 15days, now to get car taken care of and ready for the trip! And if I could only receive room numbers!!!!!

I will be trying to finish up the FEs this weekend.. if not, I MUST complete by next weekend. I have already gathered the boys' clothes and now just have to figure out how/what I am going to do about food and diapers for an 8 month old.. LOL...I am hoping that I can pack EVERYTHING into 3 bags.. and leave one just for formula/cups and things for the baby...

15 days!! Im doing the happy dance! Who's joining me????:cool1::banana::dance3::woohoo::cheer2::dancer:party::dogdance:

We have our schools Walk-a-thon and Silent Auction tomorrow with a forecast of rain (boo!). Hopefully it will miss us like it usually does, but you know Murphy's Law... it will still be a great, fun and long day! After this I can focus much more on packing and putting together my clothes this time!
We just had our typical dog emergency/ huge vet bill before any trip, hopefully she will be mostly recovered by the time she goes to my friend's house for the trip! At least she should be done with her meds and the drain and stitches should be out! My other dog (who has issues) bit her the other night, no real reason other than she was startled by a cat fight outside my window at 2 AM. Not the first time this has happened.... she is high maintenance! Similar scenario to this but much worse and much more expensive happened right before the last cruise! I think my dogs are trying to get me to stay home!
Really looking forward to this vacation and no one calling me to tell me about any dog or other animal emergencies!
BTW, I ordered Keen sandals through Amazon, not incredibly cheap but will stay on the feet during excursions at least and can get wet but still be used for hiking!
I'm doing the happy dance with you!!!!! Just over two weeks away!!

We leave for LA in 2 weeks exactly! Wow! :dance3: :cheer2: :dance3:

Now on to the weekend jobs of finishing the FE, printing magnets, finding sandals, getting haircuts and anything else that I have forgotten.

Oh, and of course I must leave some time to do the happy dance!

 :dance3: :cheer2: :dance3:

14 full days before I get to step on the cruise ship! So can't wait!!!!

Kathy sorry to hear about the dogs... I feel you with that! I took one of my older dogs to the vet becasue of a bumb on his backside, and sure enough it is a tumor.(That was about Sept) He already has lupus, so my vet said to start making plans, as it is almost considered mean to treat the tumor with his lupus. Now no where will board him while we are on the cruise, and his poor temperment makes it hard to leave with a friend, so on Wednesday I will be calling to make his doomsday appt. for Thurs. I think the entire family is at peace with this choice and it will make it easier on all of us to have the happy cruise to look forward to after a very sad event.

As for packing... Today I will put the q-tips in the suitcase! We had a D basketball game last night with our team from Reno, and the dance group that was there will be in the Disneyland parade on the 14th and they are girls from Reno! So we went down and met a few of them and will have be sure to catch up with them and cheer them on when we are at Disney!
Can't wait. We leave home in a week and a half to start our wonderful trip! :cheer2:

yes I am hoping to see those room numbers anytime now! But the savings for booking "Guaranteed-GTY" is well worth the wait.

I am so sorry about your dog, I have been there so many times and it never gets easier. The cruise should be a good break and then a fresh start after though. I'm down to the two dogs now, but have had as many as seven big dogs at once and usually have had at least four (ok, I admit it, I'm an animal person and have two rabbits inside and a few indoor cats, fun finding rentals with animals!). You have had a tough stressful year and this just tops it off. Sounds like you really need a fun, relaxing vacation about now.
Almost exactly two weeks until we shove off!!

Hi Gang--

Woke early to register for the cruise---cant wait! We have a 3 year old girl and she knows about "the cruise", but she'll be surprised when she finds out it's Disney!

Well... After all this fun and excitment and packing.... I think plans have changed. The cruise is going to have to wait.. :scared::sad2:

For another 13days.... April fools! HEHE! Okay I had to throw something out there!!! SO CAN'T WAIT!!!! Think today I'll pack our formal wear...
Hope everyone has a wonder April Fools day and don't get joked out too much!

By the way noisy... Welcome to our cruise! Are you saying that you just booked the cruise this morning? How exciting is that!! I'm so glad we are almost in the single digits of a count down!!! Tomorrow turns to 9 days until we leave home!

Hope you didn't play that joke on your kids or mom! I took you seriously for a brief second and was bummed! This is why I stay in on April Fools Day!!!
Two weeks from this moment we will have already shoved off! Yay!!!!
I need warm weather after the rainy monsoon we had during our walkathon yesterday (that had to be called because of the high winds and rain)... hope it doesn't lose our school too much money! Stupid rain... where were you in January or February? March is supposed to go out like a lamb, right? Oh well, time to get started packing and tie up things that need to be done!
:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:
