Tell me about it. Why, when January 2009 rolls around I bet his political career is over.

Two thirds of this country disapproave of what this goofball is doing or has done
Try explaining to a child who had his heart set on the movie coming on that the president must interrupt the show to apologize to the 2100+ families that have lost loved ones during a holiday season that all is OK even though he did not do his homework before attacking the wrong country.

. You would think the future of the country might be a bit more important than a Christmas comedy.... Go buy it on DVD.......WIcruizer said:How about explaining to your children that sometimes it's actually more important to hear a message for your President with an open mind. And sometimes, as hard as this is to believe, a Presidential address is more important than a comedy.
Cable TV: Choice
George. W. Bush: Fail
That was a real intelligent response.aprilgail2 said:Well in this case the "president" is such a joke you can only think of him as one giant comedy himself so technically you WERE watching a comedy!

I would never tell anyone to leave, it IS American to disagree with your government (I'm a Republican and I don't agree with everything he's done). So please don't take what I'm about to say personally, but...I wonder why those of the Hollywood elite who said they'd move if Bush became our President didn't move? Wasn't there a few of them who said they'd move to France or something like that if he became our President?Toby'sFriend said:Next we will be hearing, if you don't like our country, then leave.

I'm just sorry you're passing on your disrespect for the President and the Office to your children. I'm sure you want to believe two thirds of the country disapprove of what the President is doing. Now THAT is a lie.
That's a tough one, let me try. How about explaining to your children that sometimes it's actually more important to hear a message for your President with an open mind. And sometimes, as hard as this is to believe, a Presidential address is more important than a comedy.
Finally, when you DO actually listen you may even hear that the President didn't come close to saying "all is ok." Just maybe you could teach your children to have an open mind, and see and hear through the blind hatred.

Right and you don't tell your kids what to think politically either? You just put all the issues out there, explain the difference between liberal and conservative and let them make up their minds
I try to let my kids be exposed to both..They are around my conservative ,Bush loving siblings and here about their views.. I also don't think that the Republican party we are seeing right now is the same one that existed 15-20 years ago..I know many conservatives who don't even recognize their own party anymore..I really think it's been coopted by the far rightchobie said:Right and you don't tell your kids what to think politically either? Personally, I want my kids to share my values. So, that is why I tell them what a horrible president Bush and explain to them why the liberal side is the right side.
I agree! I think that my Dad, who really loved President Reagan, would be shocked by the bunch currently in office.JennyMominRI said:I also don't think that the Republican party we are seeing right now is the same one that existed 15-20 years ago..I know many conservatives who don't even recognize their own party anymore..I really think it's been coopted by the far right
WIcruizer said:Good point, and I talk to my children about the dangers of liberalism all the time. But assuming a Democrat is ever elected President while they're alive, they have ALSO been taught to respect the President and the Office. I do not teach them to call the President an idiot- or call anyone an idiot for that matter.

...Some of you are so bitter it's unbelievable...
...Could you be any more cliche???...
...It's been explained in great detail above, and it's not that hard people...
...This is the 3rd time I've had to explain myself...
...That's a big difference, and pretty simple to comprehend...
...I chose my words very carefully to try to avoid this, but I should have expected it...
...I'll keep this simple considering the simple mind I'm dealing with. I'm not an awkward geek who has hours to spend finding and posting links, typing paragraphs of drivel, and bringing up every trivial point imaginable. You can continue to whimper in the corner

For goodness sake, buy the freaking DVD so junior can watch his movie anytime he wants. This is ridiculous.kydisneyfans said:Try explaining to a child who had his heart set on the movie coming on that the president must interrupt the show to apologize to the 2100+ families that have lost loved ones during a holiday season that all is OK even though he did not do his homework before attacking the wrong country.
