Wonderful Panama Canal Sept 2014

Yesterday we found tickets from Seattle to LAX for $99 on Virgin on the 10th. Granted there's no free checked baggage, but that's a darn good price. I talked to my brother and he likes Virgin a lot. So there's that. I am thinking we fly into LAX, go see my brother and uncle for a mid-day meal, drive to Cucamonga (show my friends the awesome of Southern California freeways) then check into the hotel, go to see my grandparents on the 11th for lunch. Go to Hadley's*, then see my best friend, get our Target on, sleep at the hotel, and the next day drive to San Diego.

We are going to talk to the boss lady on Friday morning to see if we can all get the time off approved (out of the three of us in my group going, I am thisclose to paying it off, and I have all the PTO already for the entire trip.).... the day of worry, but it will set up if Emily can go (Emily is the one that would be nixed because she has 28 hours of PTO as of now, she's paying the third person fare, and Leannda and I were the first two on the reservation. We booked the trip for us to go on.... Em tagged along.).

* Here's my question: can I go to Hadley's, which sells dried fruits and nuts, and then get a souvenir for my dad, then bring it on the boat, and bring it home? Or should I get it sent from Hadley's to my dad? I am worried with customs.

Hmmm, good question…I think I would get it sent from Hadley's to your Dad just to be on the safe side. It SHOULD be ok because it was purchased in the US, but why take the chance since you can have it sent by the company?
Always better safe than sorry when it comes to Customs and Immigration imho!!

We will pay off the cruise here the first of April. We have the money now, but we always wait until close to the end to pay it off in one lump sum. Everything else is all set and paid for.

Me too! I like the money sitting in my acct all nice and cozy. I will charge it to my Disney Visa and turn around the next week and pay off the DV. More Disney Dollars!!!

We don't Joyce. We set up a credit card for an account on board the ship. But I know allot of people do put cash on their on board account. So it won't be a problem for you to set this up. I don't know how to go about setting it up, but hopefully someone on our thread who does this same thing can explain it to you.

We put credit card on file. We always look for ways to maximize our air miles.

We do the same as Maria, and charge on our credit card we have setup with DCL before the cruise and pay off the credit card after the cruise.

Well cruise is paid off i will put money on my account before i go as i dont that big off a limet on my card so i can spend something before the cruise ty all for the help

Everything is paid off except for plane tickets. Will Southwest ever open up September dates . I'm soooooo impatient to have it all done.

I just used my Disney Visa to pay my DVC dues for the year and will pay it off when my tax returns come back. I was kinda disappointed at the Disney Dollar return. It's only like .01 per dollar charged. Will take forever for me to accrue a large amount. Guess I need to pay monthly bills with my Visa then pay Chase instead of they way I have been doing it.

I will also be linking my cruise to a CC, something I've never done in the past.

Are there any prepay deals going on with Photopass? Would love to go ahead and purchase and pay for a picture package.

The majority of us seem to be traveling sans children for this cruise, understandably, given the timing and duration of the cruise! It seems so far away as we deal with the freezing temps….
