Wonderful Panama Canal Sept 2014

Is anyone planning on going on the Passion Island by Twister excursion in Cozumel? I have a feeling our kids Kris 21 and Courtney 20 would love to go on it, but due to my previous back surgeries there's no way I'd do it...I would love to, but I don't think my neurosurgeon would be very supportive or understanding when I got back home and couldn't walk! :furious:

Just did this in April and absolutely LOVED it! And yes we will be doing it again in September

:confused3
Good for you! We did pretty much the same thing though I did send the list to my TA and let her handle it. ;)

We did well, I'm a little concerned about the snuba, but I figure if I get there and I don't want to do it, at least Dave gets to do it. That's the most important thing. He's scuba certified though he hasn't been on a dive in years. I went all the way to my open dive, but developed an issue with my ear and can no longer 'clear' it so an open dive is out of the question for me. We both love snorkeling!

I have never snubaed, (is that a word???!??:confused3). I did see that on one of Disney's excursions, can't remember which port though. You guys should have a great time.

We are going to do the Jeep Drive in Cozumel. I use to have a Jeep a few years back and kinda liked driving that thing. Plus we saw Samantha Brown do this excursion on one of her cruise trip reports she used to do on the Travel Channel. It looked like fun when we saw her do it. Donna said she wants me to show her how to operate the digital movie camera, so she can take some movies as we drive along. Should be interesting. (But to be honest with ya'll, she will probably take better movies then I do!!! I have an issue of trying to get everything in one shot. So you may be watching a sail boat in the ocean and in less then a second I have panned the camera over to the beach area to see something going on there. (Kinda of gives you motion sickness when I do that!!!)

I added a snuba excursion to my snorkeling excursion in St. Maarten and though I enjoyed it thoroughly, I'm not sure that I would do another. I wasn't able to get my ears to pop and ended up with some pretty significant ear pain and hearing loss post adventure, and when I surfaced I experienced my first ever nose bleed. Am I glad I did it...yes....would I pay to do it again, not so sure.:confused3

Okay, Laura and I got together today and finalized the excursions (again).

Puerto Vallarta- zip line
Cabo - we're not doing much on this one. Probably take a taxi into town and hang around. Nothing was that exciting to us.
Cartanga - tour with you guys.
Cozumel- cavern tour in playa del Carmen.

Pretty excited about these choices.

I'm completely jealous of all you that can book excursions already. I am waiting until 6/14/14 but plan on booking these:

Cabo--city tour (neither of us have ever been)
Puerto Vallarta--zip line for me and city tour with tequila making for mom
Cartagena--a dcl city tour
Cozumel--dolphin excursion (I've just got to kiss a fish)

You don't have to be Disney Crazy to enjoy a Disney cruise! I'm the 'crazy' one in the family, but DH has just as much fun on the cruises as I do! :thumbsup2

You don't?

I had some cute designs created for us but I'm having issues getting them to print on magnetic paper at my house so I've loaded them all on a flash drive and I'm taking it to moms to try after she gets more ink.

:welcome::welcome: to all the newbies who have joined. Don't go MIA and not check this thread for long periods of time or you get completely lost. I just had to catch up on about 15 pagespopcorn::. I've got to make sure that I stop by at least once per week. That was almost exhausting.

I managed to get our FE out of my head and into reality. I posted a pic on FB. I hope it's strong enough to handle the job. I have no idea what kind of weight limit they can withstand. :thumbsup2

Cayla, just want you to know that I love my CC backpack  and can't wait to use it on excursions.

Read all the posts about formal night and the only reason that I have a "formal" for this cruise is because I ordered it for my DD for prom and it got here to late and they were going to charge me $60 to cancel the order so instead I paid $60 to have it altered to fit me.

Did I see something about a princess night? Do I need to pick up a cheap tiara to wear?

The closer our departure gets the more nervous I become. I haven't been on an airplane since 1995 and it made me anxious then so the idea of flying back to California is kinda freakin me out a little. I have to have a "wellness" exam for work the end of July or 1st of August so I may just ask Dr Scales for a little somin somin for the flights and maybe a scopolamine patch as well .

Here's hoping that everyone has a safe and happy Memorial Day Weekend!!!

Just got off the Wonder from doing the west coast repo and now we are gold. :cheer2:

do you mean the Facebook group I'm trying to join? :) Thanks for the reply!!

No. Look for Disney Graphics page titled 'Graphics For All Disney Lovers.' Beverly (DisneyMouseHouse- I think) is an administrator on that page. If you have trouble locating it, you might want to message her on here. Good luck!

In Cozumel we're walking around. I want to see the synagogue but it's Rosh Hanana when we're going to be there so I don't want to pop in on a high holiday.

SNUBA- my brother and his wife did it. They loved it. But my brother said I probably couldn't do it because I have nose stuff (my sinuses are super messed up. I have no sense of smell and limited sense of taste). I've been thinking of getting scuba trained though. For my hazmat suit it would be good and I liked the idea of being told I couldn't do it- only to be able to do it. The problem is the water in the Pacific Northwest to train in is typically dark and cloudy and I heard if you're claustrophobic at all it is bad.

Thanks! OfficeMax wouldn't laminate them for the last cruise that I went on--blamed copyright. So we'll try again! Hopefully I can navigate the search function and find these threads :)

Thanks!

I have just printed mine on magnet paper myself. I have a few graphics that I could e mail to you. I have also looked for Google images of each family members favorite character and then added their name to it. If you would like I can e mail you the graphics, there might be some in there you would like.

Huzzah! How was the repo? Did it have the fireworks night? I'm doing the 4-nighter from Vancouver before our PC cruise and that will put me at gold.

I signed up to do it in Hawaii; went out on the boat for a day but because of chronic sinusitis, ended up snorkeling while spouse and friends snubaed. They loved it, but spouse use to scuba dive. I agree with you I was kind of relieved that told me not to go!

I just buy the magnet paper at Office Max and print out my own magnets from the graphics I find or people make. I've got some I've used on several cruises and they still look good!

I do the same thing as Stephanie. I buy the magnetic paper and print them out my self on my printer at home. I have some I still use from our very first Disney Cruise, but I am always on the lookout for something new. I have used the Disney Graphics page on FB. It is an excellent source for any design you want. They can personalize them for you if you want. Just go on an make a request. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Yeah I've had some balk and others who don't care. Usually they get that way when I ask them to print them out for me. Never had one whine when I asked for a lamination.

I've seen that stuff. I may try it out for this coming cruise.

There was suppose to be fireworks but it was at 1030 and we went to bed. So I don't know if it happened or not. Pixar party was a lot of fun. The only downside is you don't get it take photos with them. Had a lot of fun in San Francisco. Going under the Golden Gate was amazing. It was all fogged in and slowly lifted. Just as we got under it they blew the horn. WOW!

Sweet! You'll be able to book in a few days!
When we left on the cruise we couldn't book until 6/14. Now we get to book on 5/30.

I had read somewhere you can ship packages ahead to your stateroom, does anyone have any info on this or am I mistaken. Thanks

DISNEYLAND GOERS, those interested in meeting up (Davidls, Jimmyl47, all others)
We have created a couple of 'tour plans' at touring plans.com after a thorough review of Birnbaum's Guide and lots of You Tube videos and a call to DLR. From that, we had a few ideas about meeting times and places.
What are your thoughts about meeting on Wednesday evening (9/10/14), about 7:15p ish for dinner at the Grand Californian Storytellers Cafe or for drinks after that, maybe 8:30, at the Hearthstone Lounge also at GC? At DTD, the Catal Restaurant and UVA Bar also looks interesting. If you have some ideas or suggestions, please speak up! 7 weeks until we can make dining reservations!
