Wonderful Dis Friends

As you all know, Dis members are the best! We have cruised the eastern DCL twice and the western once. On our first eastern, September 2000, my family, along with my brother's family (callahanjulie10), met the nicest family. Their names are the Marciano's (Twiceasnice on board). They cruised again September 2001 with us, as well as May 2002. They are from Buffalo, NY and we are from Panama City Beach, Florida. They have twin girls, Julia and Jenna, that are the same age as my son and niece. WELL, we chat almost everyday with the twins. They, along with their parents, Kathy and Joe, flew them to Panama City Beach this weekend as a surprise for their 12th birthday. Their family and mine spent the weekend at Edgewater Beach resort and had a blast. We visited, sunned, and had a great time. My brother, wife, and daughter spent the time their with us as well. I just wanted to let everyone know, that I hope they get blessed with great friends such as the Marciano's like we have!!!! We LOVE THEM! New York, here we come.....Beth

We met medotmom and BHNJ on our April 2001 cruise. We cruise with both families again in April 2002. BHNJ's {Camille, Joe, Joseph, and Brianna} family has become very close friends. We IM and email on a regular basis. We stayed at the Hampton before our 2002 cruise - linked dining together and after the cruise travelled our route home together. This summer their family met with us here in PA for the day. They are from NJ -- and we plan to go and visit them this summer. They have become good friends with our family! medotmom's family {Jill, Frank, Eric} are also terrific people -- and we are planning to cruise together on RCCL {gasp} in 2004. Thanks to the DIS -- we have met two terrific families!

Beth, It is so nice to hear you have made lifelong friends! I LOVE Edgewater Beach Resort and worked there when I lived in PCB (before I went to nursing school). What a nice surprise for your son!
I got to visit Tulirose(Rosemary) and her DH Rich who we meet on the 9/22/01 cruise while I was in NY this July! Thanks Rosemary and Rich!
Viking (Eric) and his wife Anja, also from the 9/22/01 Cruistoberfest cruise may be stopping in Charleston for a visit while touring the Eastern US (they are from Germany) next year just prior to Cruisetoberfest II.
I have also meet fellow cruisers (who did not cruise with us, but who I "met" on this board) Tluvs2Talk (Terri) and her DH, Natsmom125 (Phylis) and her DD, and We3luvDisney (Karen) and her family, during trips to Disney's Hilton Head Resort.
During the 9/28/02 CruisEars trip, We met SO many wonderful people, along with fellow past cruisers!
To quote my sister (TwinAve) You ARE going to be on a ship with 2600 other people...you might as well get to know some of them before hand!"We did just that, and had a wonderful time!
