Wonder, Waves and Wishes. 18th October 2009. Remembering the waves!

I think that's a good idea to meet sometime on the first day for the FE.

Anyone know the earliest time that we can get on the ship? We may be there by 11 a.m.

Oh, I SHOULD be working, but it's rainy and dull outside and I'm wishing to be on our cruise. :rolleyes1 We had planned to do a little walking through Nassau. I'll probably go to the seminar to get a map of the "best" places to shop and where they give out freebies. What type of walking tour are you thinking about?

I'm thinking about more of an historical tour at the beginning, seeing the fort and whatnot. Then that way people could have the rest of the day to do whatever, like shop or go to the Pirate Museum. I'm still considering the museum, but then the kids just may want to head back to the ship for swimming. They're easy to please!

My DH would die if I brought him shopping. But I do want to find a hand-made doll for my DD. She has a small but growing collection of hand-made ones from various countries that I want to add to.

OK I am beginning to get myself together. I paid off the remainder of the cruise today and booked our Comfort Suites room for Nassau.

Are you guys going to do that and go to Atlantis too?? The rooms right now are $251, I went ahead and booked it. We are saving a couple hundred dollars by doing it this way. I do not even think we are going to go in the room.

:rolleyes1 Okay, I didnt quite read the "Nassau" part. :rolleyes1 I was thinking of the room I need to book in Florida the night before the cruise.

Sometimes I wonder about my brain....

Quilty Mom, Me too! I was thinking the same thing. We are staying with family in Live Oak, FL the night before. It is about 3 hours from Port Canaveral, so we'll drive straight in. I just need a room outside of Atlanta both ways.

Is it just me or is the time dragging by?

It's still 132 days away!

Yes, but I am having a great time talking and thinking about it. I'm just afraid that the actual vacation will go sooo fast and then I'll have to go back to work!!! We talked and planned it all weekend. I can only imagine how much fun it will be!!

Is anyone renting the paddle boats, etc at CC? Or has anyone? Haley and I are going to rent something, but we don't know what to rent. Any ideas for one adult and an 11 girl?

Parasailing?

I'm going to do it.

We've parasailed a few times on Hilton Head Island, SC and loved it. It's amazing being above the water, but close enough to see in it. I think we're going for something like the paddle boats or those tricycle thingies. Just something to do that's relaxing and inexpensive. I think we'll also rent the bikes for an hour. We have our snorkel equipment too.

It's taking FOREVER.

And I think I'm making DH crazy talking about it! I have to make our dining reservations for WDW next month and I think DH may leave me if I change my mind one more time about where we are going to eat!

There are five of us (3 adults, 2 kids) and I'm still trying to decide what to do in Nassau. The choices now are:

1) Atlantis Beach Day
2) Blue Lagoon Beach Day or
3) Blackbeard Cay Stingray Encounter and Beach Day:confused:

The third choice is the cheapest option, but I would love to hear a review from someone before we commit.

We're going to rent bikes on CC. What time of the day we'll do it, I'm not sure. But we're planning on getting onto the island as soon as we can.

My kids have been seeing many advertisements for Atlantis water park on Sat. a.m. TV. I'd love to go, but I can only imagine just how much that would cost! I'm not even going to look into it.

My DD would also love to swim with the dolphins, but again, the $$. Maybe our next trip to Florida.

We'll probably snorkel first thing before the water gets stirred up and then we may rent bikes. i want to bike before it gets too hot.

This is our door and FE from the May Podcast cruise on the Wonder

I got our Cruise Planning booklet today. At least I now have proof we are going!

Roll on the 4th August and I can start booking and sorting things. I am looking forward to parasailing and sitting on a beach and relaxing from dawn till dusk.

No plans for Nassau, I intend to get off the ship to say I've been and then get back on the ship 30 minutes later!
