Wonder, Waves and Wishes. 18th October 2009. Remembering the waves!

Can I just confirm that there are 24 adults and 19 children? Plus 2 adults and 2 children in my party and 16 cabins plus mine.

Just doing my shopping list.

Depends on what you classify as "adult" - one of the cabins has someone's 21 year old "child" in it....

I counted adults as ones without ages & children as those who had ages listed & here's what I came up with:

17 TOTAL cabins
28 adults
25 children

Hope that helped!

I believe drydock starts September 27th. I haven't heard about any major plans. I believe they are just doing a general sprucing up. People have said they will likely change the t.v.'s out to flat screens and some sort of change to the cabin safes that as was done on the Magic's last drydock. Some of them also said something about the laundry being changed to a key swipe system?

I read on another board that someone on our cruise was called a few weeks ago by DCL and offered an upgrade for her Cat. 9 cabin to a Cat. 6 for $99. Did anyone here get such a call?

I still have a ton of stuff to do to prepare. I am shipping a small box down prior with some of the stuff we are bringing on board (shoe organizer, sand toys for the kids, etc.) that I don't want to lug with me on the plane.

Yes! That was me. So excited! We were offered both of our rooms to upgrade to cat 6 from 9-total of $198. We felt it was well worth it for the verandah. 2nd time cruiser-last cruise we were upgraded for free from cat 12 to 9 and couldn't imagine not having a view now. I can only imagine the verandah will be even better!

Thanks, it did. Now I know what I need.

I've filled out all the on line forms for DCL, printed my cruise contract, signed it, booked the kids into the club and booked my para-sailing. All I need to do is print out my door magnets.

I read on the main board that they are adding a staircase to in the coffee shop area and putting in a cigar and martini bar. I'll try to find the thread and post it.

It is getting close. I started making Zoes costume for the Halloween party when we get back on land that night at WDW.

I just want to pack and get on the ship. I need to work on my FE gifts now.

WAHOOOOOOO! Just got my room assignment - #2646 (for Angela & Matthew (10)) and it's a cat 9! :) Love me some Disney Magic dust!!!! ;)

Congrats, how great for you!

Just curious, how did you find out? Was it on the website, did you call DCL for it or did you get mail from DCL?

It's on the website - before my stateroom was listed at cat 12 GTY. Now it just has cat 12 - 2646. At first I was a little disappointed as I assumed we got a cat 12 room (but, hey, that's what I booked, LOL!) So I went to the deck plans to find out where we were located. That's when I found that 2646 is REALLY a cat 9. YAY!!!!!!

How many of us are going to MNSSHP on the 22nd? I'm pretty excited - our whole group is going that evening and we have a *very early* dinner at 1900 Park Fare planned so that we can get into the park asap. We are going with 18 people!!!!! Yikes - but we've been before, and it's soooo much fun.

Have fun this last month with all your planning!

We are doing the parks ahead of time, so our MNSSHP is on October 12th. Can't wait!!!! Our Dis vacation gets to start on October 10th, so we're getting SO close - almost just a month away!!!!!!

DS & I are going shopping today for vacation stuff!

Angela

We will be doing MNSSHP on the 22nd. We decided to book two nights at Pop Century. We're going to surprise my DD with a lunch at the T-Rex Cafe that day, then we'll head on over to Pop to check in and (hopefully!) nap before heading over to the MK. And remember that you can get in as early as 4:00 pm with your party tickets!

We're all going as POTC pirates, the same costumes as we'll use for pirate night. Only I now need to make my kid's costumes, unless they get really cheap on Disney.com!

Oh man - it's been a crazy couple of weeks at our house, and I just realized that my DS lost his swimsuit sometime between summer camp and home. And trying to find another one anywhere in his size t match his rashguard shirt is just not possible! ARgh! :headache:

So, I'll be hitting up ebay to see if I can find a replacement one. I found one just like it, but in the wrong size. Just another thing to do before we go.

Thanks for letting me vent!
