We would love to hear from fellow cruisers aboard the WONDER during the 13th-17th. Had a marvelous time, can't wait to go again. (First time cruising with Disney.) Any thoughts, memories to share? :wave2: ::MickeyMo

I just got home, but I kept a journal during the trip that I'll post when I get the chance!

I could be wrong, but wasn't it the Disney Wonder that sailed November 13-17th? I am pretty sure it was the Wonder, cause I was on the ship also!!!!!

Oh! I didn't read the dates closely enough! Magic was Nov 12-19th and that's the one I was on. :)

We will be cruising in January and I was wondering if the Hercules show is still showing or if there is a new show?

No new show.... It is still Hercules the first night, a comedian the 2nd, Golden Mickeys on the 3rd night and Disney Dreams on the 4th night.

:badpc:  Tink Tink you were absolutley right, we were aboard the Wonder on the 13th -17th. I guess my mind was still at sea. Hope you had fun.

I was on the Wonder those dates!

Had a horrible experience with DCL booking our flights, they messed up so bad we had to drive, we never really recovered! I would NEVER book it all through DCL again. Having said that we got refunded our flights, and got a small compensation (onboard credit) but standing at the airport at 6.30am being told that only our son had a ticket...well, no compensation is enough...nightmare...I could go on, about our catastrophes, but must try and stay positive!!! Having said that my DS5 had a blast, even though I could never relax, we just seemed to have one disaster after another. My DH work phoned him up on the Tuesday night as there were problems at work...can you believe it?? Agghhhh! Need a vacation badly!! Oopps there goes the positive vibe out the window...

..so how did you all enjoy the trip???

This was my DH first cruise. All in all it was very relaxing. We were not happy with our service in the dining room. The assistant server was more concerned about out table mates wine order, than even giving us water. :guilty:

In the back of my mind the whole trip, I wish I had spent the money on a different cruise line. Please dont get me wrong, I love Disney and this is my second Disney cruise. But knowing how expensive this trip was I think I could have spent my money more wisely on another cruise that had more activites for adults and my DH wouldnt have been so bored.

Live and learn. We still had a blast at the sail away party, and Nassau, and we loved Castaway Cay. The island was beautiful. And we could not have gotten any better weather! :cool1: The Pirates in the Carribean Party was awesome. pirate: We didnt do the shows because we didnt find the theater comfy at all, and there is just something about kids kicking your seat that can really ruin a show. We did watch Herbie, which was a good movie, my DH loves VW Bugs. Other than the dining room service, we had wonderful service everywhere else. No other real complaints, other than Disney Cruises are tooooo expensive!

I am sorry for your flight troubles, that would aggrivate me to no end. I hope you had a 'Wonder'ful trip besides your troubles.

HI TINK TINK 78 WE WERE ON THE CRUISE TOO

WERE YOU EARLY SEATING WITH DINNER OR LATE?

REGGIEB WHAT HAPPEND WITH YOUR TICKETS & DISNEY? WHERE DID YOU HAVE TO DRIVE FROM TO GET TO FLORDIA? WE WERE BUMPED COMING HOME FROM MCO TO LGA (NYC) & SPEND AN EXTRA NIGHT IN ORLANDO. IT WAS AN ADVENTURE & LOT'S OF FUN. PLUS WE GOT FREE TICKETS FOR NEXT YEAR.

I HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE THE LAST NIGHT ON THE SHIP, WITH DISNEY MAINTENANCE. I AM GOING TO CALL DISNEY CRUISE ABOUT IT. IT REALLY FREAKED ME & MY DD OUT.

OTHER THAN THAT WE DID HAVE A GREAT TIME. WE LUCKED OUT WITH THE WEATHER. :sunny:

THIS YEAR HAD GREAT DINNER SERVERS. LAST YEARS CRUISE WE DID NOT.

I WAS WITH MY DSIL DN 16 & DN 12 & MY DD 11. EVERYONE WAS HAPPY WITH THE KIDS CLUB.

I NEED SOME EXTRA TIME, TO WRITE A REPORT.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL

We too sailed on the Wonder Nov 13 thru 17. It was our first cruise, and DD12 and DS8, DW and I, all loved it. Too bad you weren't able to see the shows, we found Hercules the Muse-ical and the ventriloquist to be outstandting entertainment. The kids did the Golden Mickey's without us (Palo :) ) and we found the last night's show to be 'ok'. We were lucky to have great servers (late seating) and a great family to share our dinners with. We enjoyed our snorkeling excursion in Nassau and especially enjoyed snorkeling at Castaway Cay.

Before cruising, we spent Saturday (Nov 12) at Kennedy Space Center (highly recommended) and the night at the Radisson. We left a rental car at the hotel (still cheaper than DCL transfers), then spent the 17th (after the cruise) thru today at WDW. We weren't in the parks today, but, had incredible weather thru yesterday (a bit rainy today while at Downtown Disney).

Just got back to NC an hour ago...we'll definitely be cruising again!

I was on the Wonder Nov. 13-17 and had a great time. I literally booked 10 days before the cruise left!!!! Last minute impulse!! I knew about 150+ people on the cruise because of the pin trading event going on during the cruise.

I thought the food was okay, I had heard such good things about the dining but overall was not too impressed. Palo was very good, especially since they forgot to charge us for our bottles of wine! Score!

I LOVED Castaway Cay, having a private island really makes a huge difference. I was happy just sticking my beach chair in the ocean and sipping my pina colada! Nassau is not that great of a port to me, and since I wasn't going to Atlantis this trip, I got off the boat for about an hour to shop and got back on.

I met a really nice lady on the boat that was rebooking on a 7 night while I was rebooking for next year (Halloween!!) and found out she was on the Disboards too....hello Tinkerbellmom1!!!!

Overall, the company that I was with made this a fantastic trip! I'm looking forward to next year when best friend Jeff will be joining us!!! Hooray!

Tracy
