Wonder May 17, 2015 3 Night Mexican Riviera

Hi all! We booked on opening day and just found your group! We have done backtoback Ca Repo and Alaska in 2011 and 2013 so we will turn golden after this cruise!! We want to join the FE GROUP and we will be in cabin 2004 on deck 2. It will be my dh Ron and me so looking forward to meeting you all!! Aloha, Karen:cheer2:

Whoo-hoo! You found us! :)

I'm so glad this thread is so active! My other two cruises have no activity on the DISboards and everyone is so into the FB groups. The FEs are being entirely planned on FB and I really feel like I'm missing out on something, but FB just doesn't do it for me! I love my friends on the DIS and I can't wait to meet everyone and have a great time on this cruise!

Hurray! I feel the same way! I don't FB...I don't even have my own account. I had to use my DH's account for our cruise's FB group. I'm so excited for our cruise. I was watching the San Diego port for when wonder arrived & left yesterday. Tomorrow she arrives again from the cruise to nowhere before she goes to Vancouver. :)

I enjoy FB for snippets of what folks I know are doing and one of my friends from the UK got off the Wonder yesterday and posted on FB that she was in SD, but that's about the extent of my liking it. Nice to see you ate at a nice place, you're hanging out with your family, but if I'm planning something, the DIS is the place to do it. One conversation, no tangents that people post to get lost and miss out on something important! It's all here and we can refer back to the first post or which ever post for the vital information. Much more streamlined!

I hope your friend enjoys her B2B. I can't wait to do it next year!

Welcome new comers! So excited less than a year wait! DH still has no idea! I feel very amused with myself for some reason.

Welcome, new shipmates! I'd be happy to add you to the roll call on page 1, just send me a PM with who's going, ages (if you like) and any other pertinent info. :)

I have to admit, I thought this sailing was going to be our only option for West Coast. Longer sailings are a game-changer for us. I'm not sure where this road will take us! I'd really love to add Cabo to the mix. But we're cheapskates, haha. We're trying to dump all our extra income into paying off our student loans by the end of 2015. It's a tough one!

My birthday is in October so the Cabo trip would have been a DREAM... but there is no way my husband who teaches HS could take off an entire week, let alone our daughter and myself from work... husband was annoyed that they won't have it in the summer.... I'm hoping that by the time we board next year we are able to book our next trip!

We just jumped ship from the May sailing to the October 5 day Cabo cruise --- we love Cabo, and I'll have to arrange it with the schools again about homework, but I'll do it.

Have fun everyone. If the price drops on this cruise, DH and I will probably rebook as our Anniversary getaway --- of course the kids will be sooooo mad at us. :rotfl:

Sorry to see those of you who are changing dates go, but happy you are getting what you want. I hope not to many of you leave.;) We booked another 2 cruises for next year I'm super excited:thumbsup2 , but now have exhausted any and all current spending funds.:lmao: What I will do for a Disney cruise.:bitelip: Do you all think I have a problem? Ok... maybe I do:rotfl:

Sorry, everyone! There's a 50% likelihood that we may cancel our B2B cruise with you guys! :(
For now, I'm not canceling. We are going on the Baja 5 night on 10/11 and the 2 night cruise to nowhere on 10/16. What was more appealing is the itinerary and pricing. Will be torture to wait an additional FIVE months to step onto a DCL ship!!! Hopefully we can manage the funds to also go in May.

I had been really looking forward to meet everyone. All of you have been fun to follow along and have "conversations" with.

I genuinely feel terrible about it, but I am going to have to join the others who are jumping ship for an October sailing. :( This means I need someone to take over the FE and the roll call, and I am SO sorry for accepting those responsibilities and now skipping out. In my mind, this sailing was a sure thing, I never even suspected they would come back later in the season. But it's the right thing to do for my family, and we just have to go with it. Please send me a PM if you'd be willing to manage one or both of those tasks. The Facebook page is easier, I'll just name one or two of you as moderators and you'll be able to keep it going. We will be joining the October 18th sailing to Cabo. Good luck everyone, and have fun! I will make sure to hand off my duties appropriately!

We're on your heels! Jumping ship as well...... Grabbed a cabin on 10/18 sailing today. Hope everyone has a great time! We did Mexico on DCL in 2011 and had an AMAZING time!

Just caught up on this thread. In the midst of the recent posts from folks about jumping ship to the Oct. 2015 Mexico cruises, I just wanted to post to say that a friend and I booked this 3-night to Ensenada last week when we were on board the Wonder for the 5-night repo from San Diego to Vancouver. We are doing this cruise B2B with the 2-night cruise to nowhere that precedes it. This will be our third girls cruise together. We sailed on the Magic from New York up to Canada in 2012. Our families have also done three cruises together: the Med on the Magic in 2011, Alaska on the Wonder in 2012 and the Fantasy Western Caribbean in concierge in April 2013. Our families are also booked on the 11-night Iceland and Norway cruise B2B with the 12-night Baltics cruise next summer. In addition, my family has done one other Disney cruise, which was our first, on the Magic to the Eastern Caribbean in 2009. As much fun as we have with our families on these cruises, we love our girls cruises. So fun and relaxing. We had a blast sailing from San Diego to Vancouver last week. Sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge was a real treat, even though we are both from the San Francisco Bay Area, LOL. Anyway, looking forward to getting to know those who are sticking with this cruise, as well as the folks doing the B2B with the 2-night. We are in a Category 7A Navigator's Veranda stateroom. We likely won't do the FE, but we are always up for a DISMeet. And count me in for magnets and t-shirts. We have done t-shirts with our DIS group on two previous cruises. It is a great way to identify members of the group, and the shirts make for great embarkation photos.

Hi All,

I will be organizing the FE list.:cool1: I know a few of are original cruisers are switching over to the Oct Wonder Baja cruises, which is why I will be heading up the FE list from here on out.:thumbsup2

I have crated an FE Sign-Up: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1juLrNCkesQ6u-HkqMuehGIGPqN9Pn4n_EtY75jpo9Fo/viewform

I will announce at a later time when the close date to sign up will be.

I hope for those of you still cruising you are as excited as I'am.. Oh and DH still has no idea and believe me it's killing me not to tell him.:rolleyes1:banana:

Thank you for taking over Evasue! I'm one of those also booked in October. We are on the B2B and am contemplating canceling the May cruises. My goal is to budget for May and October! :) sooooo excited!

Welcome Calfan,:wave2:

Sounds like you gals sure know how to have a good time!:goodvibes I'm in SJ so we are close:thumbsup2 I have never done Magnets or T-shirts for a group, thats new to me. Not sure if DH and I will make our own shirts or if someone comes up with a design maybe we can consider wearing the shirt with that design.;) Can't wait for this cruise!

Of course, not a problem. I hope you will be able to stay for the May cruise but if not I totally understand. We have 1 cruise set up for this Sept., but I haven't even join their group bc I'm not sure we will make it.:confused3 We put deposits on another 2 cruises for next year and now I might not have enough for the difference I owe (Sept. '14) and for plane tickets, I will know by July. Its just a waiting game right now. pixiedust:

Well I booked the Oct 18 sailing, but I'm sticking with the B2B. We're going to get to platinum heck or high water!

DisneyLove58, my parents live in San Jose. I grew up in the Bay Area. We want to do the FE but I'll have to sign up later.
