Wonder - January 21, 2011 The Cruise To Nowhere In Particular..

When you are on board off the Wonder can somebody look if Jenn from Austrilia is still on the wonder. And if she stays there?

Thanks

Great! I just added you to my FE list. I have a DD12 too! Does your daughter plan on going to the Edge the first day? I'm trying to get my DD12 to go make friends....especially when I have my spa appointment Saturday am at 8:am

Then we plan to do just the same as you....enjoy the ship :woohoo:
Yes, she'll be there I'm sure. She loved doing activities in the club on past cruises. We will have to introduce them early on...then we probably won't see much of them until Sunday...LOL

Just saw on the Wonder PC Cruise, there's limited edition PC pins! I want a "Cruise to Neverland" PIN! (I'd even accept a Cruise to Nowhere!)
I love pins! Anybody else bringing trading pins?

where does she work? server, childcare, club?

I really enjoyed watching the Wonder go thru the PC today! So many great memories :)

She does the bingo now.

Packing question... soooo... are jeans now considered "okay" for the dining rooms? My boys would love to leave the dockers at home...

I'll be brining some pins, but my problem is that I love all of my pins and have issues with parting with any of them.

Cruise Casual. I'm bringing something nice to eat a Palo with, but other than that, it may be blue jeans for me. Of course, If I get Tritons for Dinner, I'll feel grossly underdressed!

Hi, everyone. I have been away from the boards for a while, so I am very far behind. Just a couple of questions that have probably already been answered.

Is there going to be a pirates night and if so, what night? Same for formal night? Are they going to do fireworks?

Thanks for all of your help.

Wonder's on the Pacific side!! She's on the Pacific side!! She's almost here!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

From what I have heard there will not be a pirate night. Bummer. Dining will be Cruise Casual and we will probably be dining in the same room on both nights (there's been conflicting info on that last part) I doubt that they'll do the fireworks.

As Steve said, no, no and no.

Ah man I forgot about Palo... we're going for brunch. Well, at least my son can skip the Dockers! I'll be lucky if I can drag him out of the Edge long enough to join the family for dinner!

I can't believe we're just a week away from leaving!

We have not gotten into pin trading before now, but I just bought a lot on Ebay for my kids to get started. Now that I've received them, I'm really tempted to just keep a whole stash for myself!

Hi! I'm back with some more questions :rotfl:

1. What time will we be off the ship? I scheduled my shuttle for a 10:00 pickup. Will this be too soon? Too late?

2. I'd like to try to get Palo reservations for dinner once we get on the ship. Do you think they'll have any openings available? Where do I actually go for this?

3. (sorry this is long, bear with me) I have 2nd seating for dinner which would mean I would go to see the earlier evening entertainment (Disney Dreams/Golden Mickeys), correct? Here's my dilemma. I scheduled an Alone Time spa appointment from 4:30-6:15 on Fri. (I know, not a great time, but it was about all they had left). From looking at a few navigators, it looks like the evening shows start right at 6:15. I was really looking forward to being pampered, but I really want to see the shows too. What are my options? I was thinking it would work out ideally if I could get into Palo from maybe 7-8 that night, then go see the later show, but chances of this seem slim. Can I go earlier to the dining room for the first seating and see the later show or would I just have to eat somewhere other than the dining room? How flexible are the spa appointments? If I told them I wanted to see the 6:15 show, could they get me out of there on time? Should I just cancel this reservation altogether and then see if there's any other openings once I get onboard? ugh. This is such a short cruise, but I still want to do it all!!

Deb...I would go to the spa as soon as you board and tell them you want to start earlier. I bet they would get you in there earlier so you can make the show.

Got the suitcase out today because all my "cruise stuff" was starting to take over my office

With all the drama going on in my household this week - can I leave now?:rotfl2::lmao:

I can't pack because my kids will know what's up! I have been making lists of things - more detailed than usual so it's an easier reminder - and will have to toss everything together after they go to sleep at night (which is sometimes later than me right now since they're off-track and staying up late).

ONE WEEK till we leave - I can't believe it's finally here!

Probably about right. You'll have to wait for it a bit but that's better than missing it.

2. I'd like to try to get Palo reservations for dinner once we get on the ship. Do you think they'll have any openings available? Where do I actually go for this?

There will definately be Palo reservations left. They will be first come first served. I don't know exactly where they will be booking them. On our first cruise it was in Rockin' Bar D (WaveBands on the Wonder) But I think they were doing it in a different place on our second cruise. When checking in, ask and I'm sure they'll try to get the answer for you. Then once on board make a bee line to that location and get your ressie. Do not tarry! (It'll help if you are at the port early and get a low numbered boarding pass.)

If you fail at getting a Palo ressie, then you may be able to get out early from your appt. but I'd probably look into eating either room service or at Beach Blanket Buffet. It all depends. With such a short cruise, you'll be presented with trade-offs at every turn as you can't possibly do everything.

Here she is!!

Thanks for the picture!

i will check on dining abd timing...

Jenn is here!

We are just off of Costa Rica...looking forward to tomorrow.

Debdreamsofdis- with regard to your spa appointment....like Palo reservations, they usually hold back a number of spa appointments for onboard booking. These can be booked once onboard, at the same place where you would go to book Palo. You may be able to switch your treatment to something a bit shorter, or to a different day/time altogether. Good luck! You won't be the only one feeling the time crunch this cruise!
